We stayed at the BDR for two nights during a recent road trip across southern Utah. The property is very quiet and located in a very scenic area. The staff were all very helpful and the rooms are very clean with all the amenities you need including an ipad to control the lights and blinds.
While we acknowledge the resort is new and still under construction, there were a few things about our stay that disappointed...
1) The price of some menu items was ridiculous while others were an ok value. Three tiny shrimp tacos at the pool for $18 were not worth it. The nachos at Hole 20 were a meal for two and cost $15 plus $8 for chicken. Although adding steak to the same nachos for $15 gets you back to the ridiculous realm, in our opinion.
2) Don't buy the cocktails. OK, we get it, we know where the resort is located but really? The typical cocktail at any of the bars runs $18 to $20 and has almost NO ALCOHOL. There were patrons who would order their $20 cocktail along with an additional shot of vodka just to add it themselves.
3) No liquor license at the pool...and no, you may not bring in outside beverages either. This is completely disappointing for a place that calls itself a 'resort'.
