We stayed in room 11 which was lovely, decorated well and had a very large bathroom with a free standing bath. Breakfast was great with a good choice. Lisa was extremely helpful and having the option to be taken and brought back from nearby restaurants was an added touch, as well as the electric charging points

Excellent cosy hotel on the outskirts of Cartmel. Cartmel is an easy walk away, however we made use of the free chauffeur service for drop off and pick up. I highly recommend this hotel. Francesca and Adam could not have made us feel more welcome.

Great location for our birthday event in Cartmel. The chauffeur service was excellent and we utilised that every evening. Welcome from Francesca was warm and friendly but professional at all times. Good breakfast too. Room was warm despite inclement weather.

Lovely place to stay, beautiful countryside. Francesca and Pete made us feel extremely welcome as soon as we arrived. Nothing we asked for was too much for them to sort out. The room was amazing, clean and spacious - everything that we needed was there and more, great night sleep - bed was really comfortable. The bar area was amazing. Breakfast - there was everything that you could as for. Only thing we wished we would have done is booked for two nights not just the one. We will be definitely be visiting again but next time we will bring the dogs as the facilities they have there for them are brilliant.

This hotel is fabulous. We only stayed one night but wish it was more. The staff were amazing, the room was stunning and the common areas were lovely. Beautiful cooked breakfast, lots of lovely extra touches. The room decor was like something straight out of a design book.

Staff were all without exception excellent and special mention for Mark who drove us around Cartmel even when we were supposed to be walking!!! Both of the managers were extremely helpful too if there were concerns - food at breakfast was fresh and delicious - lovely stay!!

The stay was fantastic from start to finish, excellent facilities, including for the EV charger. The property has been fantastically refurbished recently and the rooms and shared spaces were immaculate. The staff were all excellent too, including Mark who kindly drove us to and from Cartmel and shared wonderful knowledge about the area. Would definately stay again. Emily

I rarely leave reviews, but this one truly deserves it. The staff were friendly and attentive, making us feel welcome from the moment we arrived. We loved the extra touches such as champagne on arrival and Molton Brown toiletries. The rooms were beautifully designed, and comfortable. Breakfast was excellent, with a great selection of hot and cold options. It is also dog friendly, with the added convenience of a dog wash. Although there is no dinner available at the hotel, there is a complimentary chauffeur service into Cartmel for dinner reservations. Overall we had a wonderful stay and would highly recommend Aynsome Manor.

Beautiful hotel and facilities. We loved our room - the bathroom was amazing! Heating and hot water broke on Friday so shower/bath was lukewarm and cold room. which spoiled our evening a little, unfortunately. Staff were lovely and resolved it ready for the next day/eve. Breakfast was wonderful on Sat/Sunday with great choice and quality. Surrounding area is beautiful and we made use of the chauffeur service to come back from our evening at the gorgeous (and highly recommended) Royal Oak pub/restaurant in Cartmel. Small touches we loved: the friendliness of staff, champagne on arrival, daily newspapers, dressing gowns, lovely coffee bags in our room, Molton Brown products. Things we’d improve for 5⭐️: toiletries ran out, coffee (decaf only) and milk not replenished on Sat turnabout so we ran out (too late to notice on Sun am); no biscuit treats available with drink- making, bin not emptied so overflowing by Sunday.

Great two night break. Super impressed with everything. The complimentary shuttle into Cartmel made everything very relaxed for local food. Staff could not do enough. 10/10.

It was refreshing to stay somewhere with such individuality rather than the usual chain hotels. Beautifully furnished throughout, with fabulous attention to detail, so much to look at. Breakfast was excellent, a good range of continental and cooked choices, with local ingredients. Slightly outside the village, they provided a chauffeur service to and from any of the restaurants in the evening in their electric Mercedes minibus. Plenty of car parking, with five EV charging points. We had a thoroughly relaxing 3 night stay and would certainly return.

The Staff were remarkably friendly and efficient. The room was beautifully decorated. The bed was very comfortable if a little bit high. Breakfast excellent.

Everything here is brand new, in a very old manor. We spent considerable time with two of the three managers while we were there, and found them to be incredibly accommodating and kind. The room was wonderful. Spacious and clean, bed very comfortable, bathroom lovely. The bar downstairs in the old wine cellar is a vibe. Breakfast was the among the best we had throughout our entire trip through Europe. The selection was unreal, and made to order. I honestly couldn't believe it on the first day when the food came out. This place made my wife and I feel special, and we measured each place we stayed after on our experience here. We loved walking the pastures in to town, and would stay here longer on our next visit.

We stayed for 4 nights an d could not have enjoyed it more. Top qulaity accommodation, lovely rooms including the breakfast room and lounge, and its location next to Cartmel was superb. I delight to stay in and the staff were all just brilliant.
