Very basic motel. Needs renovations

This is a perfect hotel in the center of town for an overnight coming into or going out of Papeete its close to the market, restaurants, bars, shopping.

The beach front bungalow was beautiful, quiet and so handy to the beach. Unfortunately the snorkeling gear is unfit for purpose, both sets leaked and snorkel itself needs to be thrown out. Buffet dinner was terrible and definitely not worth the cost . I’d recommend going elsewhere. Breakfast on the other hand was excellent. Note happy hour 1/2 Price drinks ( still expensive) only pertain to cocktail list supplied. No other beverages are included. I would recommend staying here for bungalow and breakfast alone.

The room and bathroom were extremely clean!!! STAFF WAS AMAZING!! I was even able to get an early check in.

This is a very good hotel if you are just looking for an overnight stay in Papeete. The staff were very helpful and the room very clean and bed very comfortable. There is no bar and only a continental breakfast on offer. Perfect location if you are arriving or departing from a cruise here.

We stayed at Mai Tai Express for one night before a cruise. The hotel is no frills but fit our needs perfectly. Check in was easy, the room was comfortable, and we were a short walk from the ship. There was even a place to have breakfast fight next door. I would definitely recommend it for cruise passengers.

This was our favorite place in FP and the highlight of our trip; it was beautiful, romantic and peaceful, with a fabulous restaurant, perhaps the best on the island. It's a convenient 10-15 minute walk to the ferry/center. The beach is lovely, we couldn't have asked for anything more. The staff is also very warm and gracious, and will arrange tours.

Great location downtown and near the Moorea Ferry terminal

This hotel is located right across the street from the ferry terminal so it's super convenient if you're boarding a ship (such as the Paul Gauguin) or taking a ferry to Moorea (as we did), it's a great place to stay. The staff were friendly and helpful and they stored our luggage when we needed it. There's a lovely French restaurant down the street which is where we had a lunch and dinner in between our travels. The only downside is that it's on a busy street so there's traffic noise all day and night. We asked for a high floor and that helped, a bit.

Beware of the "Breakfast Buffet" Stayed 2 days before a cruise. Nice room. Comfortable sitting area, with a couch and TV. Bed and bathroom also good. Good location. They had a continental breakfast with some pastries, coffee and juice. We grabbed a coffee and pastry, before heading across the street, where we got a full breakfast for less than $10. Upon checkout they tried charging me $135.00 USD for their "Breakfast Buffet" I refused to sign the bill and asked for the manager. After a few minutes of discussion, they removed the charge.

Great location. Helpful staff. Quiet considering it is downtown.

Great place to stay if going on a cruise!

Great stay at Maitai Express Tahiti! The staff was excellent, and the room was clean, comfortable, and spacious. The location is perfect—close to the ferry pier, rental car agencies, and the local market. Private parking was also available, which made getting around very convenient. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend it to anyone visiting Tahiti!!

Good place to stay. Staff helpful. Excellent location.

The hotel was clean and the rooms quite large. The staff was amazing! Tita went above and beyond to assist me. I became very fond of her. The only drawbacks was the ice was on the 3rd floor and my room was in the 4th. The elevator was very small! Only room for two people with luggage, plus it had no air. But overall I had an enjoyable stay. They had cold bottles of water in the frig in Our room that were free. They held your luggage for you. And for travelers who had late flights and had already checked out to tour or whatever they had a shower you could use to freshen up before boarding. Now that is service! I highly recommend this place. I would stay again should I come back to Hawaii.

Very close to cruise terminal and everything is right around the corner. Staff is very helpful and everything is well kept and clean
