Beautiful property with attentive staff, however missing a few marks to be considered a 5 star lodge. A room for 2 only came with 1 hand towel and no wash clothes. The shower needs a floor mat. It is dangerously slippery when wet. Slippers are provided, but no bathrobes. These touches make a huge difference. Handrails along the stairs outside leading up to the restaurant as well as inside our suite were non existent making this another dangerous area. Breakfast was acceptable but dinner most nights needs major help. With the property at the top of a windy road you are captive. The chicken was boney, fish was minimal and sauces were blah. Just our opinion but we were disappointed.

Spa staff rushes people not able to explain well. Dining staff is good but slow and not trained well.

I had the pleasure of spending eight fabulous days at the Le Montfort and what an incredible experience it has been. While there are so many facets to enjoying this place what stood out most is the very kind, loving people that work here. The attentiveness of each and every team member is astounding and the best kindness in doing what they do. I can see the passion camaraderie shared by them to being a close knit family all with a common goal to make this hotel outstanding and treat each other and the guests with gentleness and kindness. Getting to the hotel was an adventure within itself. Passing through Munnar and winding up the beautiful mountains, each turn has beauty and then arriving at this remote and secluded location. The view from the hotel of the surrounding mountains and beautiful valley below is incredible; just the way nature intended it to be. Greeted at the front entrance by India’s Most Beautiful Pageant members :) you will immediately feel the peace and kindness entering the property. The front desk made everything very smooth and I got to experience three different rooms and suites while here. A jungle view with the sounds of nature right out the front of my balcony. The south facing suite with amazing views of the valley below. You will truly be treated like royalty here and all resources are used to provide a lovely welcome. All the staff are gems from GM Arun, to manager Dinesh, Rakhi tour executive extraordinaire and EVERYONE ELSE ON THE TEAM

Beautiful resort! So peaceful, very friendly Staff , the infinity pool overlooking the mountains was so beautiful! Love the food as well. Will definitely stay there again!!

The facilities and site are beautiful and well-maintained. However, there were a few shortcomings that one shouldn't expect at this price point. I didn't like that the TV automatically comes on every time the room's central power turns off and on again; as a result, when there was a brief power outage in the middle of the night, the TV came on and woke me up. At breakfast the restaurant staff left a lot of the used dishes on the tables, such that when I came for breakfast circa 9:30, there was only one clean table available (and almost nobody else dining), which was visually unappealing. When they asked if needed anything in the restaurant, on two different occasions I requested chopped ginger or cardamom powder to add to my tea / coffee, and they replied "yes sir" and then seemingly forgot. Overall, the experience was good, but it fell short of a five-star experience.

Absolutely beautiful place to stay! It was away from the hustle and bustle of the town.

Heaven!! Beautiful views and lots of space to walk around the area. Staff were super nice and the blue ‘pidgeon wings’ tea is sooo nice I had to have more. This was the welcome drink! It quite far to get to from cochi but I would definitely love to come back here.

Really nice property, recently renovated. A little removed from the main town but that's part of the charm honestly. Staff is phenomenal though, from guest relations to restaurant that were all friendly, amazing and professional
