A good, but basic hotel. Perfect location for exploring the old town and right next to the beach and bars etc. Staff were excellent and provided lots of helpful eating and sight seeing suggestions.

God lokation, tæt på strand og den gamle bydel. Personale var virkelig venlige og hjælpsomme. De gav en god introduktion til området og hjalp med spørgsmål og aktiviteter. Værelserne var lidt små og der var noget linned der ikke var helt rent, men overordnet et rigtig fint sted.

Safe choice in San Sebastián. Amazing location and helpful staff.

This is a good hotel for a short break in San sebastian. We'll located near Old Town and a very fine beach. The hotel was really peaceful establishment, the blackout blinds worked really well. Good coffee available at the Reception area. All.in all would stay here again

I seldom write reviews but this time around, I have to. I sprained my ankle in Barcelona on the day that I was arriving in San Sebastián. Gloria checked me in and I casually mentioned about my ankle. She immediately asked if she can do anything at all to assist me. She was so kind, helpful and was constantly checking in on me throughout my stay. The rest of the staff were the same as well. I just want her to know that I truly appreciate everything she said and did for me. Thank you and I hope I get to come back and see you guys again.

Localização muito boa, fora da zona mais tumultuada de Casco Viejo mas ao mesmo tempo super acessivel (basta atravessar a ponte). Quarto muito limpo e funcionarios prestativos, estacionamento muito perto, perto da praia tambem.

Everyone was fabulous - the staff were amazing

The decor is simple within the room but there is tons of space. Walls are thin so you have to be mindful of noise.Water and a small snack is provided with tea available as you come and go.. Extremely clean room and comfortable. Excellent location steps from Zurriola beach with a market and multiple restaurants on the same block. Staff is on-site for most waking hours. I would highly recommend this for a solo Traveller or parties of 2.

Great location and excellent value

Amazing and far exceeded our expectations. I work at a 4 star resort and wish we had those wonderful front reception ladies working with us. They were so genuine, kind and helpful. Every morning and evening they would greet us with a smile, offer to make our coffee, and assist with planning my itinerary for the day. They even helped me with my limited Spanish. They epitomized Basque culture and made us feel like family. Our room was spacious, clean, the beds were comfortable, and the bathroom was nice, The hotel is in a perfect, quaint location near everything. The cleaning staff were also extremely attentive and thorough. My wife had reservations elsewhere in San Sebastián a month after our stay. However, after our positive experience at Pension Kursaal, we won’t stay anywhere else. We booked it right there at the desk. It was my first time in Spain visiting my daughter and I can’t thank you all enough for helping make my experience so memorable. See you next time. Thank you, Erik

Loved it. Very convenient location, easy check-in (loved the self check-in option given our train came in late), great communication from staff. We appreciated the free tea and coffee in the lobby. The beds were also fantastic. Amazing night of sleep.

Our room was very comfortable. Great bed, towels, linens and so forth. Staff very helpful. Just a short walk across the bridge and you are in the heart of Old Town San Sebastian. Gros was fun too. The worst part was parking the car. It is confusing when you first get there because your GPS wants to take you to the hotel, but you have to pass it and drive a ways and then make a U-turn back to the parking. Once you get into the parking lot, it is very easy to get to the hotel. Even though it is on a busy corner, the room was very dark and quiet. We had a perfect experience. Oh...the lobby is up one floor when you arrive and the old elevator DOES work so don't carry your luggage up the stairs :-)
