One of the best stays during our 3 week trip in Ecuador. Maybe the best overall. Modern and luxeous lodge in a gorgeous, peaceful landscape with a beautiful view on the forested mountains. Clean rooms, very large comfortable bed (even large enough for me, I am almost 2 meters tall) and lots of big windows to peer outside. Delicious meals and an excellent, very hospitable host. Would recommend to everyone visiting Intag. For birders: the balcony and terrace provide a great view on the garden and forst edge. Species like Collared Aracari and Andean Guan are common. There were no hummingbird feeders, which I think is a very ecologically responsible choice, for many hummingbirds are naturally foraging on flowering plants in the garden. Our host Marcelo took us on a pleasant walk through the grounds of the lodge to a 50 meter high waterfall, and showed us different species of plants, wild fruits and birds on the way.
