The rooms were clean, except a previous occupant had left dirty clothes in one of the drawers. The blind in one room could not be raised because one of the cords had broken. The bathroom door latch could not be fully retracted, so reqired a good tug to open the door. The TV was the smallest I've seen for many years. No info was sent before our stay explaining where to pick up the room key. (The cleaner in Greggs next door told us to collect it from the Londis/petrol station nearby.) A simple sign pointing to the rooms, which are tucked behind Greggs, would have helped locate them more quickly. The rooms are basic but adequate for a short stay and were surprisingly quiet even though they are right next to the A35. The bed was comfortable and enough coffee/tea provided for our 3 night stay.

The key was collected from the shop serving the petrol station which I didn’t know at the time. There is a Greggs and Subway which is very handy for food etc. also the garage station is a Londis which sells items as well. The actual rooms are located behind the building of Greggs and Subway hidden away from the main public area and road. My room was clean and the bathroom was clean and functional. Unfortunately the Roman blinds at the windows you couldn’t open and close which doesn’t allow you to have natural light although to be fair there is no view only a shed used for storage and also no one can see you in your room The bed was ok the sheets and pillows were spotlessly clean and the duvet and pillows extra soft and fluffy and the towels were the same. I would stay there again . It’s not 5 star but for the price and overnight and short stays perfect. The actual parking behind the rooms is limited if all the rooms are taken and require a car space but plenty in front of Greggs just a few steps away. I had no problem. I had booked it because it’s so convenient for River Cottage where I was going on a cookery course.

Very good. I was able to collect a key from the adjacent garage even though very late at night. Breakfast next door excellent.

Clean and comfortable budget stop. No road noise but the 7:30am leaf blower wasn't welcome - not sure thats down to the owners thou.

The staff were friendly and extremely helpful. The room was cleans with plenty of space

When we walked in the room at 9.45pm the room was freezing cold, we found the radiators and turned the heating on but at 11pm the heating went off and didn’t come on again until the morning which meant we was cold all night. Plus there was a clear draft coming through the main front door and from the bathroom. When we looked around the room there was black mould by the front door and around the bath. There was a stain on the bed sheet. There was a filter plastic strip on the floor under the desk. There were cobwebs in the room It looks like someone had punched the back of the bathroom door. There was only quarter of a roll of toilet paper not a full roll or even a spare roll. When we woke up we discovered the breakfast option Greggs was closed. Overall I am very disappointed and to be honest I want a refund

DO NOT BOOK HERE. It is a false listing. It is not what it advertises; restaurant/hotel. I felt scammed when I turned up with my family. I booked last minute and I should have checked more reviews. The photo on their website is now non existent (I assume it’s what it used to be years ago) it’s frontage is now a Greggs, nowhere tells you to get the keys from inside the Londis garage. Only because I went to ask where the place was, I was told ‘oh yeah you collect the keys here’ and the rooms are tucked away behind Greggs. The Nextdoor room had the lock broken off, there was a car blocking the doorway and once inside it felt unsafe with just a basic door lock. We were so disappointed, we thankfully found another place to stay. My husband returned for the items we had left to get dinner, and said it smelt horrendous, like a fishy smell. They refuse to give me a refund even though it was not what was advertised. Pretty shocked they can advertise something that is not there and get away with it. Such an awful experience.

Property was very clean with little toiletries. Free breakfast included Subway sandwich and coffee from Greggs which was a really nice surprise:)

Just stopping for one night as visiting relatives. Perfect for this purpose. Bed was comfortable, parking right by, and convenient to get to. Good value for money and will use again.

Clean room with adequate facilities but wasn’t clear in the email exactly where to check-in.

You collect keys from the petrol station and the rooms are located behind the subway. There are no signs to tell you this beforehand. Stayed in room 6. Someone had removed the smoke detectors before we arrived, the bathroom stank of weed presumably from one of the other rooms but it was constantly there. The shower was either boiling or freezing, temperature controls did nothing unless you changed it to the cold setting. The shower door wouldn't close and the drain didn't work properly causing it to flood. Breakfast was supplied but it was a sandwich and drink from subway. Otherwise it was clean, coffee was provided, the room temperature was fine and the beds were comfy. We stayed for 4 nights, the room wasn't serviced once but I imagine if I'd gone over to the petrol station to ask they would have done it.

Awful stay. Not told that you need to go into the petrol station to get your key. The room was dirty coffe stain on the wall. Mouldy shower curtain. Filthy shower Matt. Dirty walls in the bathroom. If I wasn’t staying for works I would have gone home.

All good apart from the lack of information about how the set up works (could this be eg a poster in the room?) and the unhealthy breakfast options. Otherwise great.

Clearer instructions around check in would have been appreciated- we had to collect the key from the Londis garage on site. That said, when I phoned and left a voicemail checking how we got into our room, they called back straight away. The room was basic but clean.

It was fine for what it needed to be. I was only there for 6.5 hours on a stop off to sleep on my way to Southampton. Its conveniently located just off the A35 and there is plenty of parking, the bed was comfy. However - it was so unclear how i actually got in - first i coildnt even find the enterance - it was late at night but eventually i found it behind the Subway store there, then because theres no reception i assumed i wouldnt be able to get in as it was late at night, so i took a punt and walked over the fourcourt to the petrol garage and spoke to the man at nighpay - turns out thats were you go to check in - he handed me the key. Room was fine, basic but comfy enough, bathroom was old and in need of a real deep clean and some fresh paint but overall it was fine for what i needed it for. I did pay £80 for my room which I would say is aboit £20 too much but i guess you pay for the convenience… that being said it has nothing on a wyndham or any of the ither motorway service hotels ive stayed in.
