We had the most peaceful, lovely stay at Piedra de las Animas. The staff was extraordinarily hospitable, especially Gustavo! You should know before you go, though: this is glamping, not a hotel. If you’re going in the winter, bring warm clothes… it will be cold, especially at night! Great hiking trails and night sky watching.

Beautiful place !! Unlike anywhere else we’ve stayed. Rustic, off-grid but with all the comforts! Natural beauty of the sierras and the Uruguayan night sky while living in a cool dome. Laying in bed we could see orion thru the triangle sky window. We enjoyed the visit during the summer but can’t wait to visit in the cooler weather too. Interesting trails, sightings of wild birds and animals, beautiful restaurant with breathtaking views! We didn’t want to leave! What a relaxing place !!!
