While the hotel is well placed I can’t recommend it. The overall place has a weird vibe and decor, the corridor perfume was really unpleasant and the loud music as you walk out of the lift in the morning and in the breakfast dinner was not welcoming at all, couldn’t wait to get out.
In addition our bedroom had a view on a wall … dark and gloomy for 3 days was not nice at all, for the price of the hotel I did not expect something like this. Also the staff keep on giving us some parking tickets that were not working and got stuck on the very steep ramp on the car park which was not nice at all.

The room looked into a wall about a metre away so no daylight. Why even bother having a window. And it was covered in cobwebs.
I was in Room 817. If they give you a room on the 8th floor refuse it.
Horrendous banging noise from 11 to 11.30pm and other sporadic banging throughout my stay. Including 8.30am on Sunday morning….,
I think the bar is above which may be the cause but no excuse.
Tried calling reception at 11.30pm to complain about the noise…. Called twice and no answer so gave up.
No good morning or thank you - no response at all in fact - when I returned my keycard on leaving at reception.
I WILL NEVER STAY HERE AGAIN.

Stay was fabulous, everything was perfect. From the helpful staff, delicious cocktails at the rooftop bar, to the beautiful room with the amazing bath, could not fault a thing. The QT is the only place I’ll stay when I visit Newcastle.

Like the position of the hotel , quite central.
Rooms are small and no complimentary drinking water. Breakfast was a bit of a disappointment, not the best cooked scrambled eggs and bacon. Having said this staff is pleasant and accommodating.

From checkin to checkout, our stay at QT Newcastle was excellent. Staff were helpful and communicative, the room was perfect for us, location amazing (close to shops, cafes, harbour etc.). We had drinks at the rooftop bar and watched the sunset over the city.
Will definitely be back.

Booked this property particularly for the alleged pool that is mentioned twice in the info on Wotif. However there is no pool. Bed was not very comfortable, restaurant not open for Sunday dinner and in-room dining order seemingly went through, then after half an hour or so got an email saying the order had failed. Parking is a bit of a nightmare in the area with various construction. Pretty expensive given all these things.
