It is probably the WORST 4-star hotel that I have ever been to. The staff on the night shift was awfully rude - they would tease at you and offer unhelpful opinions. This hotel only provides one bottle of water per stay - it means if you stay in the same room for two days - you would still only get one bottle of water of 300ml. The rooms were dated and dirty. Some of the facilities obviously need some maintenance. The gym was so tiny and the breakfast was not a buffet style.

Our room was a bit dated and it was very noisy, backing onto the freeway, the bed was comfortable and the room was spacious. The staff were polite and helpfull, it is in the process of renovations and they seem to be handling that very well.

Currently going through renovations, unfortunately work started early with drilling at 6.35am. Only 1 lift working. New menu very expensive. Plus side good bed, new Shower head and new filtered water tap in room.

The staff and frirndly barman were good. Location was good. However, the gym needs an uplift and the laundry dryers need replacing

We liked the location. Nice having bar and restaurant on site. Loved the king size bed and our room. Nice big shower

Excellent as always to stay, hotel is undergoing refurbishment so not everything is open. Recommend for a comfortable easy stay, walking distance from CBD across the Kangaroo point bridge.

Tahlia at reception was friendly and efficient. It was a fabulous welcome.The complementary arrival drink was a nice suprise! Highly recommend eating at Kin. High quality meals for us. Bed was very comfortable and pillows just right. Bathroom very clean and well maintained, with the installation of water filters the water tasted great. The room was incredible value for money. The only drawback was $30 a night parking for open air non-secured space.

Our stay at The Point Hotel Kangaroo Point was disappointing and poor value for money. We booked through Travelocity, not realising the price was displayed in USD rather than AUD. This was not made clear during booking and resulted in an extra $86.66 charge. Travelocity customer service was unhelpful, although a manager eventually provided the amount as an Expedia credit rather than a refund. We booked a one-bedroom apartment with a sofa bed for three guests. Reception confirmed there were three of us, yet no linen was supplied for the sofa bed. Luckily, we had our own bedding. I also asked about parking and was told to use the hotel car park, but no one mentioned an additional fee until checkout. The hotel was undergoing renovations, with building materials in the small car park, boarded-up areas and dust sheets throughout. The room was spacious and initially looked clean, but the curtains were torn and falling off the rails, doors were damaged, carpets were worn, and the bathroom was outdated. Both TVs lost picture, the air conditioning barely worked, and the room was freezing until reception adjusted it remotely. Food options were very limited because one restaurant was closed and the other was not operating, so we had to drive 15 minutes to find food. The beds were comfortable and checkout was at 12 pm, but the dust, poor maintenance, limited facilities, unexpected parking fee and lack of communication made the $286.66 cost unacceptable.

Central location with cafes in walking distance

Great value hotel. Restaurant expensive. Short walk to cross river ferry to catch city cat. Walk to Story Bridge hotel.

I really love staying at The Point and this was my fourth stay here. The location is beautiful and is super safe as a solo traveler. I loved the full breakfast which was delicious and the coffee was excellent. Staff are all really friendly and helpful.

THIS HOTEL IS A CONSTRUCTION SITE! Avoid this hotel for the next 6 or so months it takes them to complete the renovations. I was put in a room next door to a construction site of renovations. Got woken up at 6:30am from the construction staff with drilling, pumping and their music playing loudly. And that goes on all day. Cannot believe there was no warning on the website or anywhere in the hotel about all of the noise. They should be charging half the price during their renovation period as well. I told the reception when checking out and there was no offer to refund all/part of my accommodation. Don’t give this hotel your email or phone number as they will spam you with 20 emails and texts before you even check in! I asked to unsubscribe when checking in, yet by the time I got back to my car, they had already messaged me with spam about their restaurant. Absolute joke of a hotel. Also when I checked in, there was no record of my booking because of their system that matches bookings to their database - clearly useless. It took 3 workers 15 minutes to work it out

Ac good nice view of river

Great weekend, hotel staff fantastic. Especially Mariana in the restaurant. The air conditioner which we couldn’t regulate so the temp was comfortable to sleep was far too hot even on 20o and we couldn’t get it lower. But apart from that it was brilliant

There's a light in 118 is not working but everything is perfect 👌 and awesome staff
