This is our favourite hotel in Brisbane. This time we stayed in a balcony room with a view of the river. As always, the staff are extremely helpful and friendly. Renovations are taking place in the restaurant downstairs, but this did not affect our stay at all as food and drinks were still being served on the top floor Eagles nest. We love that the area around the hotel is quieter than in the city, but it's just an easy walk over the new bridge to everything Brisbane has to offer. Disappointed that car parking is now charged but do understand that this may be necessary.

The Point Brisbane Hotel Location & Address

How to go to The Point Brisbane Hotel from Airport

Getting from Brisbane Airport (BNE) to The Point Brisbane Hotel is a breeze, with several convenient options available. Whether you're after speed, affordability, or a bit of both, here's a breakdown to help you choose the best transfer for your needs:
  • Taxi (Most Direct):

A taxi is the most straightforward way to get to the hotel. You'll find taxi ranks outside the arrivals area of both the domestic and international terminals. The journey takes around 20-30 minutes, depending on traffic.
  • Ride Hailing (Convenient):

Ride hailing services like Traveloka are readily available at Brisbane Airport. Simply book a ride through the app, and your driver will meet you at the designated pick-up zone. This option offers a balance of convenience and cost.
  • Airtrain (Fastest):

The Airtrain connects Brisbane Airport directly to South Brisbane station, which is about a 10-minute taxi or ride hailing trip to The Point Brisbane Hotel. The train journey to South Brisbane takes approximately 25 minutes.
  • Con-X-ion Airport Transfers (Shared Shuttle):

This is a shared shuttle service that offers door-to-door transfers to various hotels in Brisbane, including The Point Brisbane Hotel. It's a more budget-friendly option, but the journey time can be longer as it depends on the number of stops.
  • Public Bus (Most Affordable):

While the most affordable, taking the public bus involves multiple transfers and is the least direct option. You'll need to take a bus from the airport to the city center and then another bus to Kangaroo Point.

Tips:

For the most convenient route, consider a taxi or ride hailing service if you have luggage or prefer a direct transfer. If you're on a budget, the Airtrain to South Brisbane followed by a short taxi ride is a good compromise.

Room service menu was offline and there was no back-up paper version. Super annoying that listings say that self parking is available, but don't list the price ($25) Also pretty annoying that open air car parking is the same price as undercover car parking. Rooms are starting to look very tired, from when I stayed here 4 years ago. Reception staff were pretty helpful.

The air conditioner didn't work for about 5 hours. The shower drain was blocked and there wasn't enough drainage, making the whole shower a slip and trip risk. The toilet didn't flush properly. The shampoo / conditioner, bodywash / handwash had a strange, mouldy smell. One room service Chocolate Milkshake cost $26. They charge like they are 5 stars, but the Junior Suite (which was supposed to be one of the nicer rooms) was not pleasant. Parking was a problem. The secure parking left many people "parked in", as guests parked in non-parking areas. The pool is accessible via a driveway, so you have to walk through a car park to get to it - not ideal for couples, singles or families. On a positive note, the staff were friendly and the Roof Top Bar had lovely views (if a limited menu). My advice is to visit the Roof Top Bar for drinks or a meal, but skip staying here.
