Very poor facility and amenities maintenance. Some pieces are damaged and broken. All rooms are noisy as the windows are not double glazed yet it has to be opened for the hotness without ventilation. Smell of weeds all over the lobby and corridors. Drunk and dozed persons around after dark. A nightmare experience

Classic hotel but old, looks a bit dusty but actually its quite clean especially the bath and the table. Size of the room and bath is big, location is near National Express bus station and China town so it is very convenient, no complaint. My room's window is facing the a busy road, so if you're sensitive to noise, it is better to ask for a quite room. Staffs are helpful and nice.

This is the worse experience in this hotel. It was noisy all night. The staff knocked my door at 10pm while i was sleeping and asking me whether i am showing with lots of water on the floor because downstair is leaking. I am sorry but i think the crack on the bathroom wall caused this problem thousands of times before. It was not my fault, i finished my shower 30mins ago and the bathroom has no water on the floor

this is a very good hotel for the price. the location is excellent and although the rooms are basic there is nothing really to complain about. comfortable bed, the shower worked well. there was luggage space, tea and coffee making facilities, good television and again a brilliant location.

It’s what it says on the tin. For £40 a night, it’s a warm, dry bed, with a tv, a shower and a toilet. What else do you need! Staff were very friendly, they have a tough job, but if you’re respectful to them they will help you in any way they can. Check in was simple, just remember your ID, and check out was straightforward. It’s not the ritz, but it’s just what you need if you’re looking for somewhere cheap to crash for the night.

Really small and warm rooms with no aircondition. Breakfast was nothing to write about. Aware that the hotel is a low end one in terms of price, but would not recommend it to someone who’s planning to use some time at the room / staying for a longer period.

The location was in Greater Manchester is perfect , tourists around and amenities . Nice and cool stay . Thanks indeed

Weather was really hot and the hotel has no air con. There was a fan in the room but it was still uncomfortable and to warm to sleep

Awful customer service

A lack of aircon during a 30C heatwave meant the room was stiflingly hot all night, with just an electric fan to try and cool things down (unsuccessfully).

No air conditioning working and had to ask for towels which I didn't realise!!

PERFECT location for our trip to Manchester. Our only downside was the room with no window was BOILING, and a fan didn’t even touch the heat. Otherwise, so great.

Everything beautiful, the hotel is like an antique beautiful. But.. There was no AC and it was very bad. Without AC it's absurdly hard to sleep and more. There was a fan small one but that didn't help at all. I would come back under one condition if there will be an AC. Without it will be hard in this heat and summer time.

Room smelt fusty. Bathroom door broke down was moved to smaller room. New room’s bathroom didn’t appear to have been cleaned.

The room was quite austere and the hotel was very tired. Not worth the price. The location was very good though and the staff were very friendly and helpful.

Hotel is very central, 5-10 mins walk from Piccadilly Station. I have stayed here a couple times for the convenience and price. Its a 'no fuss' hotel - really large with loads of rooms but old. That being said its in absolutely OK condition, facilities all worked, bathroom was clean and modern, bed was clean and comfortable for a 1 night stay. It definitely attracts a younger crowd but was quiet all night (on a Friday). Only minor issue is there's always a line for check-in, despite checking in on line the previous night. Otherwise a perfectly pleasant stay.
