Lovely location

I was given a Corner room with no view of the river even though I was promised a good river view when booking. The staff were very dismissive when I complained and even refused to change room when I offered to pay for an upgrade. When I asked for an upgrade they were more concerned about having to pay before even checking for availability. I find that very condescending. As big as the hotel was only one receptionist was there around 7pm and was keen on using all the time she had on the people before us. For an hotel that was well sold on the app the service and staff didn’t match up at all. 0 ⭐️

Excellent location, rooms face out looking over the river, very close to lots of restaurants, bars and the shops. Lovely walk along the quayside. Rooms spacious and clean and lovely seating areas to enjoy a lovely drink with a fabulous view.

Great stay, friendly staff.

It’s situated at the bottom of a fairly steep hill by the river so getting into town required some effort or a taxi. Not much down by the river apart from a few bars.

Great location, very nice hotel, wardrobe a little bit dated but very comfortable beds. Staff very good, pleasant and very willing to help in any way. Well worth the price and will definitely go again.

Nice location ,but windows were really filthy bathroom could be updated,understaffed for evening meal ,but food was nice ,as was the breakfast,

Hotel was decent. Room ok, if a little dated. Staff were very helpful. Only real let down was the breakfast - undercooked sausages, overcooked eggs, waited 25 minutes for bacon and apparently they had run out of butter! Shame - spoiled an otherwise decent stay.

Hotel is in a good location. Parking was easy & staff were friendly. Breakfast on a Sunday morning was chaotic!

Lovely staff, lovely hotel and location but my only slight thing was the bathroom although clean was very outdated. Update the bathroom and it’s 5 star all round.

Not many shops. Didn't visit the gym.

Quite a walk from station, with a steep climb back up to city centre

Great location but decor in reception and other areas needs updating, rooms are nice and big with balcony. Unfortunately noisy fridge that clicks every hour if not more often, kept us awake. Staff were great and we got free parking with Hotels.com
