Overpriced for a tiny room that is falling apart. Hotel looks great from the outside, but that good feeling ends once you step into the room. Smallest room I have EVER seen, the shower is worst - even a smaller man like me couldn't turn around comfortably without opening the door. It also sinks around 3 inches down the floor, so it is harder to get in and out. All wooden parts are either peeling or cracking - got a minor cut from wood splinter at the bathroom door. The only "table" could only fit 70% of my 13" laptop, ridiculous. Window literally leaks - chilling wind blows in at night with no way to shut off noise. TV is completely dead - no channel has any reception at all. The bigger rooms might be better, but the single room should be avoided. You have to pay me to stay for over a week. This is actually the most expensive room per night on my trip, and by far the worst one. I have stayed at another hotel on the previous week (2 tube stations away), and it was way better while being ~20% cheaper per night. Location is great and the area seems safe, but there are better choices.

The room is super tiny, but the location is excellent, easy to get around the city and the airport and train stations. The staff is helpful, but the walls are very thin so it is strongly recommended to bring ear plugs.

Bad service and toilet so small, poor quality but charging expensive, not valued at all, not recommended!

Good for sleepover in London. Very basic, bit run down but does the job and is in very convenient location. Very calm.

I have stayed many times over the years at Harte & Garter. It’s a great location with very helpful staff. It’s also charming and the views of Windsor Castle are lovely.

Ok. I expensive.

The staff were lovely. They did their best to be accomodating, were friendly and is the main reason the property gets an overall "3" rating, rather than 1. I stayed there 2 years ago, and returned because I previously had a good experience. This time, there were a number of problems, due, I believe, to less experience or concern about standards by new management/ownership. We had to argue about getting more than one key card since my hotel roommate and I had different schedules. The elevator/lift was out for over a week, and we had to walk up 52 steps every day for that period. This was not necessarily management's fault, but every single day we were told it would be fixed. The room had a broken drawer, was missing most of the hangers, and other issues we had to point out to staff. We had just 2 towels for the 2 of us - not even a hand towel to use. Again, another issue we pointed out, and then staff graciously provided us with extra towels. Overall the room looked rundown, as did the hotel. We won't be booking it again.

Ludicrously small rooms. Should be half the cost to reflect minuscule rooms

I liked the view from the top floor into the trees across the street. It was relaxing and natural.Aptly named place!

Personal and service

Hôtel sympa , bien situé, propre, au calme et face à un parc. Pas de petit déjeuner mais suffisamment de thé café et autres ingrédients. La chambre a été refaite le jour suivant. Personnel accueillant. J’y retournerai

It was a lovely enough little hotel. Close to the transport links and restaurants. I had a tiny room but was perfect for just a nights rest after an event and an early departure next day. I was on the 3rd floor, and the lift was not working, but they were working on it so sure it will be fixed soon. The staff were friendly and helpful. I had nothing to moan about really. I would stay again :D

This hotel has a great location but the rooms are very small, hot even on a mild day, and generally dirty throughout. It is cheap though.

We had originally booked this hotel for two nights, but unfortunately our experience was so poor that we left after the first night and paid to stay elsewhere. The room was inadequate from the moment we arrived. The mattress was extremely uncomfortable and difficult to sleep on, constantly feeling as though we were falling into the middle. The small bathroom was also far from clean, with hair visible in the bathroom and dirt around the toilet upon entering the room. The most concerning issue arose after our first night when both my husband and I began noticing itchy bites appearing all over our skin. This immediately raised concerns about the cleanliness and condition of the room. Without hesitation, we decided to relocate and book another hotel for the remainder of our stay. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience and certainly not what we expected. Based on our experience, I would strongly advise others not to waste their money staying here.

The hotel was undergoing construction and the lift was not working. Lots of dust but staff was helpful

It was ok and the location was perfect for us. However, there was no breakfast because of renovations and I felts for fellow travellers on high level floors because the elevator was out. Also, the subfloor of bathroom in our room needed work - there was an area I tried to avoid standing on which was right in front of the sink. The staff was friendly and helpful. Room was clean and well stocked with coffees and teas. Location near transportation and shops.

I loved that it was a safe area and quiet! It wasn’t the cleanest room I have ever stayed in however for the price it was great! They were very nice and held our luggage for us prior to checking in so we can explore London earlier that day.
