Needs updating and renovations

Was offered a newly refurbished room which was excellent. Decor was nice, shower was huge, toiletries weren’t nailed to the wall in dispensers that you can barely operate (finally) and everything was modern and well laid out. My only problem was the room was very hot in the morning. The radiator had been turned down as low as possible but the room was still uncomfortably hot waking me up at 6.15am and unable to cool down to get back to sleep.

Kamer was stoffig, badkamer schoon. Personeel zeer vriendelijk. Voor winkels plm 10 min lopen, niet echt een bakkerij of iets dergelijks in de directe nabijheid van het hotel. Het hotel ligt goed tov trein en metrostation

The hotel is in a perfect spot if your in Newcastle, close the the Arena close to the Railway station also close to the city centre a perfect base

Great location for the Utlita stadium. The room was fine but bathroom definitely needs improving - cracked sink and bath.

Great stay. Delay at check in as staff shortage due to having their Christmas party, but other than that it was good. Location good, room clean and bed comfy

When we arrived, the check in process was quite slow. When we went to our rooms, instead of the two king rooms booked, one room has been swapped to a triple room without anyone informing us. When I went to speak to reception about this the response was that they were both superior rooms, however I explained that that does not necessarily make them suitable for us. They had no other kind sized rooms available so we had to swap rooms between us and make do with the triple. The staff member on the reception was quite blunt and unapologetic and not understanding, however a manager did offer us a free drink as an apology when she came to see what was happening. The rooms themselves were nicely decorated and the shower was excellent, however the heating did not seem to be adjustable without a horrible clunking noise, so the room was far too hot, even in February. In one of our rooms, the tea and coffee facilities had not been stocked with milk, and in the other no biscuits, and the floor was in need of a good vacuum which highlighted an issue with the turning down of the rooms. Overall it was okay, and I would consider staying again but I wasn't really happy with the service received.

It was my first time staying at this hotel. The staff member on the service desk was Scott Carter and he was most professional and extremely helpful. Scott paid attention to what I queried and provided appropriate solutions. I felt reassured and well supported and I would definitely return to stay here due to my experience
