Very good

Receptionist on arrival was very helpful and friendly. Nar was reasonably priced for drinks, which considering the location was surprising. This was our 3rd stay, and will be back again for a 4th.

Great location by the Tyne and next to the Baltic. Standard room, quiet and a good breakfast.

Hotel is in a good location, and only about a 10 - 15 minute walk to the centre of Newcastle. Hotel had parking as well which was good. Hotel itself was clean and tidy. The beds were really comfortable and the shower very nice, but the rooms were a little tired and could do with a refresh. Still comfortable though. Staff were friendly and polite.

Nice views over river Tyne. Room ideal for overnight stay. 10 minutes walk to Central train station. Ideal location for the Glasshouse and quayside.

Comfortable stay, very comfortable beds, good tea and coffee selection, nice big TV, bathroom okay suitable for our needs, staff lovely, overall a pretty good stay. Managed to get parked okay but I can imagine that it would be difficult during peak times as only small in comparison to amount of rooms.

Parking is 8.50 a day but you don't find that out until you check in. The furniture in the restaurant is stained and shabby. The paint in our unsuited had peeled.

Our one night stay was good, room was clean, bathroom could do with a overhall, corridors to the rooms were a bit scruffy but otherwise had a comfortable quiet night with views over the river.

At check-in, Neil on reception was rude and dismissive. He even threw our key card across the desk rather than handing it to us, which was not a welcoming start to our stay. The room was generally clean, although there was hair on the bathroom wall, which was disappointing. Both the bedroom and hallway had a lingering smell of old cigarette smoke, which I assume dates back to when smoking was permitted in the hotel. The breakfast was good value for the price we paid, and all of the other staff members were friendly, helpful, and accommodating throughout our stay. Unfortunately, the hotel itself feels tired and in need of significant refurbishment. The photos online appear to be outdated and do not accurately reflect the current condition of the property. In my opinion, this is closer to a 3-star hotel than its advertised rating. While I appreciated the service from the majority of the staff, I would not choose to stay here again. Quite middling. Rooms clean but showing their age. Car park small and a bit of a walk to an alternative.

The hotel is very dated .carpet on the bedroom floors which should be a thing of the past.There was no water in the rooms and charged at £2:95

Our room was spacious, clean, had comfy beds and a wonderful river view. The staff were extremely helpful and friendly.

The staff were not welcoming and in some cases quite rude.
