A very comfortable stay.

We stayed one night and we enjoyed the use of the leisure facilities. The gym was very well equipped and opening times were good. We stayed in a family room and although a little dated - stains on the floor and bed linen, musty type of smell and shower that was more of a trickle and either ran very cold or very hot - we did have a lovely stay. The staff were very courteous and friendly.

Nice helpful professional staff. good facilities, Lovely room and lovely food. The entertainment in the evening was also an added bonus and the singer assisted in making it a lovely atmosphere.

I booked this for my mum and dad for my dad’s birthday. There was a dirty sock on the floor in their room when they arrived so clearly had not been fully cleaned, The room was supposed to be deluxe and wasn’t so they complained at reception. They gave them a different room hours later as there wasn’t a room ready and the dressing table/desk was covered in dust. They couldn’t get into the spa as was too busy, They left a shirt in the wardrobe and the hotel have told them they will have to pay £10 for this to be returned Not the service you would expect from a 4 star hotel

Room was horrible was hairs in the bed and bathroom shower was like a trickle. Spa was disgusting strong smell of urine and algai. All of the plates around pool to hold water were broke and falling off. Food was indeible and was not as described in the menu. Arrived at 3pm and was checked out by 6pm due to the experience definitely won't be returning

4 star hotel with Premier Inn vibes. The pool is nice and even though it has its grand, stately home exterior, most of this hotel looks like it was built in the 80s and not updated since. Food is bang average and the whole thing has the vibe of a premier inn with a Beefeater attached to it. Staff were all lovely!

Lovely family orientated hotel. Kitted out beautifully for Christmas and the spa was very nice - a little over subscribed though due to the number of people accessing. I couldn’t get to go in the steam room or sauna, they were always full. Room was nice a little cold in the joining room for our children as there was no heating in there but it didn’t seem to bother the children. Towels in the room were perfectly white, clean and soft. The tv in the room was a bit disappointing as was Samsung tv plus and I couldn’t see any regular tv channels so the options although plentiful weren’t great. Food in the bar and restaurant was nice, we really enjoyed the food the portions for evening adult meals were small so I’d recommend getting a side with your order. Kids portions were ample for them. I loved the house Pinot Grigio- lovely wine! Staff nice and friendly, Overall I’d give this hotel a 4/5

Staff were great, breakfast was super and they were welcoming of dogs. Only issue was a loud extractor and the spa bath was not cleaned properly. However they were super at finding another room.

A really disappointing nights stay. The front of the hotel is lovely so we had high expectations. On entering the hotel there was a massive queue for check in, the queue was right round the entrance lobby, not a good start. Once checked in the room was OK, the carpet was stained but otherwise clean. Bathroom was nice. The spa was so busy we were advised to come back later, that gave us time for a drink in the overpriced bar. The only ale on tap was John Smiths, never a good sign. The bar was lacking in atmosphere and a few occasions there was no staff there, had to wait for them to appear to get a drink. Once we got in the spa it was OK. The restaurant was terrible, slow service and terrible food and drink. Don't order the £27 bottle of South Australian Shiraz, they have managed to find a weak flavourless wine at 11%. If you order the burger it is just an average burger with a few chips and nothing else. Didn't get any vinegar or other condiments. Not the food of a 4 star hotel. A common theme was the staff, apart from the lady on the Spa reception they didn't seem to care or really want to be there, it was really bad customer service. Something strange is going on there. There are better hotels, best avoided

Bath tub had several hairs in it and one towel was not clean- otherwise a nice room

Lovely large clean room with 6’ bed! Leisure facilities excellent ( & free to resident guests) Cooked to order breakfast if required. Great price. Will be back

Tired and run down. Fixtures and fittings damaged everywhere you look around the hotel.

Staff couldn’t do enough for the customers Very helpful overall I’ve stayed here about 4 times now , would definitely recommend

Standard spa room I stayed in was ok broken on bath , wires shown on radiator in bathroom also broken draw under kettle area ,few scuffs here and there and coffee drip marks on doors , needs quite a bit done . Staff were lovely could not do enough for my stay also staff in spa reception desk lovely girls

Nice night at a wedding, however the toilets near the receipting hall were freezing, as was the pool area
