The overall services are good. The breakfast is good. However, the building and the interior are old and out of fashion!

房間偏小但乾淨，佈置細膩但有些老扣扣，適合40歲以上客層，床組舒適，早餐豐富，按摩浴缸很舒服，沐浴用品品質很好，雙人房其實很擠。

The staff were very friendly and accommodating. Concierge staff were very knowledgeable. We love staying at this hotel. We love the town of Stresa and would love to come back.

Hotel historico y elegante, qu te hace sentir en un verdadero palacio. las habitaciones aunque estan bien, les vendría bien una remodelacion. Las vistas al lago son maravillosas.

Front desk staff and concierge were accommodating and friendly. One person was not so nice - ignored us standing there for quite a while even though no one else was around. But other than that, excellent! Spa was amazing! We enjoyed it every day. Would definitely stay here again!

This Hotel is a MUST to stay in.As you drive up you think you are in a time machine as you approach this gorgeous edifice from another century.Th...e rooms are spacious and you feel as if you are either in a castle or a museum. Staff extremely friendly and welcoming. Located only a short walk from the ferrys to the islands.breakfast was out of thos world.Fantastic choices everyday with spectacular service.This is the Hotel to choose if you are going to visit Lake Maggiore.

We are extremely disappointed with this stay, especially as returning guests who previously had much better experiences. Unfortunately, the hotel has clearly gone downhill and no longer reflects a 5-star standard.The room was poorly cleaned with dust throughout, a dirty bathroom, cigarette butts on the balcony, and a strong smell of smoke despite requesting a non-smoking room. This is completely unacceptable. Room service was also poor, with missing items and cold, low-quality food. Breakfast was disorganised and frustrating — staff were unhelpful, coffee repeatedly had to be requested as it was not available at the buffet, and service in general was extremely slow. We also asked several times for tea and coffee, but it took far too long to arrive. Although I specifically asked for gluten-free bread, none ever arrived, and when we asked if there was any fresh gluten-free bread or pastries available, none were provided. We travel frequently, and this is the first time we have stayed in a 5-star hotel where there were no fresh gluten-free products available at all, apart from a few sealed processed items. This is far below expected standards. The hotel also states it is pet friendly, however dogs are not allowed in the restaurants, which was disappointing. As a result, we had to find nearby dog-friendly restaurants instead. Public areas were overcrowded and noisy, particularly the pool, with little control from staff. Ich war mit meiner Tochter 3 Nächte im Grand Hotel des Illes de Borromees. Positiv hervorzuheben ist das der Parkplatz inbegriffen war. Schönes helles Parkhaus. Das Hotel ist ein Traum wenn man gerne solche alten Häuser hat, einfach wunderbar was Früher gebaut wurde. Der neue Wellnessbereich ist schön integriert und eine tolle Ergänzung wenn keine Saison oder das Wetter nicht so toll ist. Wir waren rundum zufrieden uns hat es gut gefallen und wir können es wärmstens weiter empfehlen.

Very good service . Excellent breakfast, great facility.

I was impressed by the fact that Napolean Bonaparte came to stay in this area. That made this experience very unique.
