This charming Pisa hotel is ideally located, adjacent to the city gate nearest Piazza dei Miricola. One thing to note is that the reception is not available 24 hours, however, on our trip this had no impact on us. The rooms are comfortable, but light sleepers will find that the noise from outside can make it's way inside and earplugs might be useful. The bedrooms are beautiful and beds comfortable however, bathrooms are not the star of the show, adequate for most people but the builing does show it's age here, nothing to be concerned about but don't expect modern fixtures and fittings. We loved our time in the hotel, and in many ways it exceeded our expectations. You won't be disappointed if you choose Hotel Pisa Tower as your base for a trip to Pisa.
We had a wonderful stay at Hotel Pisa Tower. Our room was on the first floor and it was incredibly spacious, spotless, and very comfortable, with a great bathroom layout, plenty of storage, a mini fridge, and a safe. Truly nothing to complain about.
The only small thing to mention — and this is really just a personal preference — is that the light in front of the building shines through the bathroom window at night, and there’s no curtain to block it. We had to keep the bathroom door closed to make the room darker. On the bright side, you don’t need to turn on any lights if you go to the bathroom in the middle of the night, so you won’t wake up your partner, which actually made us laugh.
The staff were friendly and welcoming, and the small size of the hotel gives it a cozy, family‑run feeling that we really loved.
Security felt solid, with cameras at the entrance and the option to enter using either a password or the key — very convenient when only one of us went out.
The location is unbeatable. You step outside and you’re literally 30 seconds from the Leaning Tower. Restaurants, shops, cafés — everything is right there, and it was so easy to walk everywhere. Coming “home” was simple: just find the Tower and you’re back at the hotel.
They even have a small garden in the back, which is adorable and adds to the charm.
If you’re looking for a place to stay in Pisa, we would absolutely recommend this hotel without hesitation. It was the perfect base for our trip.
