The Gran Vía location has charm, and the price looks appealing. Unfortunately, that’s where the positives end. We weren’t told at or before check-in about a €10 cash-only deposit for the fan remote — no air conditioning, just a fan. Arriving late with no cash meant a sweaty first night and an ATM hunt the next morning. Three bathrooms on our floor: one had no toilet, one had an unusable shower, and the third had a broken shower. None had hooks or shelves. The building has a single lift, which was in use by housekeeping for much of our stay — we were on the eighth floor. The room has frosted glass doors onto the hallway, so light and noise pour in constantly. On our last night, a neighbour’s room light was left on until 3AM. The windows onto Gran Vía look great but offer no sound insulation, and with no AC, sleeping through a warm Madrid night is genuinely difficult. Cheap, yes. Worth it? Not for us.

This is the worst stay of my life. I regret choosing this place. Only did it for location but it was the biggest mistake. The staff is horrible. They came every night nock at my door and force me to stop talking and go to sleep. Literally. The employee overnight in reception is a trans that is a stalker. Is a person that seems to be mad a the world. I even asked why so much anger on his or her approach to guests . It was not Normal nor respectful. He or she was very rude unprofessional and aggressive at times. Do not visit this place. Dirty , noise, horrible staff . No AC, to be able use the fan they will ask for a Deposit for the remote control. The fan doesn’t work without it. So if you don’t have cash you will have to sleep with the heat of the room. If you open window to refresh the noise won’t let you sleep. Terrible terrible experience. I will also write a review on google alerting people Not to Fall in this trap. First time I have such a terrible experience with Expedia.

Lamentablemente tuvimos una experiencia terrible en este lugar. Había un muy muy mal olor cerca de la cama, por lo que fue muy difícil dormir ahí. Además, pedimos una manta adicional porque hacía frío durante la noche, y nos la entregaron el día siguiente. Realmente no lo recomendaría.

everything so clean , loved the area

The rooms were clean and the staff were helpful. However, one downside was the lack of luggage storage. I had a two-hour wait before my flight, and it would have been very convenient to leave my luggage securely at the hotel during that time. It’s a shame, as having this option would greatly benefit guests waiting to travel to their next destination.

Clean room

We arrived and our room was not the one we booked, the door was broken and looked nothing like the pictures. They offered to move us to a better room like the one in the picture for 60 more euro. We paid and once again it was terrible, another broken door, the ac and fan didn’t work and while the room did have a view this time, the closet was broken, the door and locks were broken and the walls were paper thin. I’d steer clear from this place, there are better places for the same price.

Not very good sound insulation disrupted by other clients at night

I definitely recommend the rooms that have a view to La Gran Via. Even though you can hear all the noises of a big city, (such as when you stay at a hotel in New York, in the center of the city) in my case the view of the life in Madrid is priceless. There are 3 bathrooms per floor, they were always very clean and well maintained. There are no amenities except for body gel and shampoo. The shower has hot water, I tried to make sure to use the shower at non-peak times. The bed is comfortable enough (again, balancing the good location over a little bit less comfort) but it was good enough for a 4 night stay. The room specifically 401 had a good space and a great view. The street noises did not bother me, because I knew I was going to be in the middle of the city, it is actually in the middle of La Gran Via; but if you are someone who has light sleep, you might want to consider rooms in the back. There are several kitchenettes on every floor, almost one kitchenette outside every room. The staff was very friendly. They don’t change the bed or the towels unless you ask for it. I enjoyed my stay mainly because of the location of this place, and the size of the room, which for Europe is very well appreciated. I would recommend it if you are not bothered by the city noises and can manage to have a bathroom outside your room.

No suelo escribir malas reseñas pero esta si ya que fue la peor experiencia en mi vida. El hotel no tiene nombre afuera, entras y tienes que verificar con la Recepción si se trata del mismo que has reservado. La recepción en un mal estado viejo y deteriorado. Ingresas al ascensor y empiezas a circular por unos pasillos oscuros que ni cumplen con señales de orientación de lo que hay tras de cada puerta. Justo me entregaron una habitation al lado de la cocina con un ruido impresionante. Todo está deteriorado con mal olor. Se supone que a las 3 pm que es la hora de ingreso, todo el lugar debería estar aseado pero no es así , está sucio, oscuro y con mal olor. Cuando llego a la habitación me doy cuenta que no corresponde con las fotos, ya que han hecho una gran labor de inteligencia artificial y han mejorado todos los espacios que esperas encontrar. Voy al baño compartido y es asqueroso, con cuchillas de afeitar en el piso, todo sucio y con un pésimo olor. Inmediatamente decidí reservar en otro hotel y salir de allí corriendo. La gente que se veía en pasillos no se veía bien y más bien este lugar de alojamiento parecía una residencia de citas clandestinas. Al expresar mi intención de check out tras 15 minutos , en recepción no me ofrecieron nuevas posibilidades de otro piso ni habitación. No te dejes guiar por la ubicación porque a pesar de ser estratégica no vale la pena el sacrificio de permanecer allí. No me retornaron el dinero y perdí 570 euros

Terrible, no dejaron mis habitaciones disponibles ya que tuve un retraso en el vuelo. De 3 habitaciones solo dieron una y los que tuvimos el retraso de vuelo no nos las dieron. Ojo para quienes tengan vuelo y llegada temprano (no solo si te lo retrasan) NO podrán usar las instalaciones contratando una noche más porque te lo cancelan a pesar de hacer el check in que ellos te mandan e indicas el retraso del vuelo. Fueron 3 habitaciones y aunque dos de nosotros llegaron a tiempo a los que tuvimos el retraso NO conservaron la habitación. Sì necesitan más dinero cobren más pero cuiden a los clientes

Excelente cerca de todo

Otroligt läge, väldigt bra pris. Observera att väggarna är väldigt tunna och du kommer höra dina grannar väl. Det som verkligen behöver fixas är toaletterna. De ser fräscha ut och sköts väl, men tyvärr är det något problem med rören verkar det som, för det är en konstant äcklig lukt på samtliga toaletter.
