SLS 巴哈玛酒店

Overall Baha mar is a beautiful place with beautiful pools, beach, hotel rooms. Plenty to do for kids as well as adults. What is terrible is the service. It is almost impossible to get any type of service wether it’s housekeeping, bar, dinner, or pool service. It is evident why: There is an automatic 15 percent service charge on every bill. For this reason no one at the hotel actually cares to be efficient or provide good service. People don’t smile. I sort of get it. If I was already getting my tip and the most I was going to get on top is an extra 5-10 percent, I wouldn’t have an incentive to service. You will hear the employees talking about guests etc. Overall however people will still come because the pools, waterpark, and beach are excellent. If you can get by without good service still a good place to come to.

We had a very pleasant stay at the SLS overall. The hotel is beautiful, well maintained, and the atmosphere is lively and enjoyable. The rooms were comfortable and the facilities met our expectations, making it a great place to relax and enjoy our vacation. However, the breakfast experience at Cleo Mediterráneo was a bit disappointing. The variety of options was quite limited, especially considering the standard of the hotel, and the service felt somewhat inconsistent and slow at times. That said, aside from breakfast, everything else was very good and we would still recommend the hotel for a pleasant stay.

Overall we had a good trip but probably won’t go back. The hotel staff were very polite and helpful. The water park and pools close early 6-7pm which leaves you with not much for the kids to do. The pool staff wasn’t helpful or friendly at all. We rented a cabana and no one ever showed up to help us. We asked about the beach amenities included for the kids but were told they only put at one floating pad at a time for like 20 kids. Food prices are also extremely high for the quality.

Proximity to a plethora of restaurants and activities for all ages has brought back to resort three times with plans for a fourth in 2027.

Check in on arrival was disastrous, rude staff and not interested in doing their job. Room was supposedly a “Superior” room, 5-star quality, but was simply not even close. No door on bathroom. No door on closet (a curtain instead) and as basic as they come. Pool area we visited was very clean and service was good. Meals at top restaurants were excellent. Breakfast buffet was good. Hotel and amenities are very expensive. This is not the place for budget conscious travel. Julie (Director) saved what was destined for a horrible experience. Thanks to her and our room cleaning lady. She was awesome.

Great environment. We have older teenagers with us and it was perfect.

Excellent stay and lots to do

The hotel is nice but the rooms too small. Bathroom is open in the hallway with the shower door glass. Not appropriate for families. The pullout was too small for 2 children. Hotel was nice. Food was pretty good but very expensive. Beach and pols got crowded. Seemed like there was charge for too many things - private pools, cabanas and premium beach chairs. Hard to find a beach chair. Water park was fun - lines were not too long.

Rooms lack basic privacy especially given the way the restrooms are built. Non actual doors for the toilets or closets

SLS and all of the hotels in Baha Mar are awesome. So much to do that it's almost overwhelming (in a good way). Our room was amazing (one bedroom residence). We had a fridge/freezer, microwave and washer/dryer in the kitchen. 3 balconies (you can't sit on them, they are small). Service is great, people are very nice. Only things to watch out for: 1. Everything is extremely expensive (example- 8oz bottle of sunscreen was $40, a plate of pasta in the room was $50 w/tip), so be prepared. 2. Also no stores or bank machines in Baha Mar take discover (this is a tip for folks with Capitol One bank card) or Amex, so you need to have a lot of cash or MC if you aren't charging the room (we ate lunch before our room was ready and had to end up paying $150 in cash). 3. Lastly, the pool chairs fill up early in the morning so if you want to sit by the pool you have to hustle to get a seat.

Casino was great

Beautiful resort that was a lot bigger than we anticipated. Staff provided excellent knowledge of local area and went above and beyond. We felt the food and drinks on site were a lot more expensive than we anticipated.

Property was very nice. Great amenities. Lots of choices and opportunities to have fun. Did not enjoy several interactions with staff.

Wildly expensive for what it is. We had a suite room, and began with switching rooms. The tub in our first room didnt work, there was blood on the bathroom walls, the lock fell off the door, we found a used blunt on the balcony, and one of the bathroom lights didnt work. We had a room closest to the lobby, which had loud music all the time. We had a two-year old, so even if the room was perfect we would have likely tried to move rooms. I'm not sure why they would book a toddler in that room. The staff was helpful in switching, which we did the following day. The new room was better, but still had problems. The bathrooms in both were just dirty. The corners of the bathrooms and the grout/caulking were gross. The balconies...oh boy, it was hard to even go out. You'd step outside and the bottoms of your feet were instantly black. I'm not sure theyve ever cleaned the floor or chairs out there. This was a two room sample size of these issues. Our dryer in the room barely worked. The casino, bars, pools, beach were all very nice. The restaurants were good too, though very expensive. It feels like they are trying to be an upscale resort, but don't have the basics down. Cleanliness and service should be number 1, but they arent. At half the price, we would probably go back, but never again for what it is now.
