Mantra Nelson Bay

When I made the booking, it is a two bedrooms room. However, the design of this room is strange. It has one big door and has two doors on left and right. It just like a two separate rooms. My kids are small and cannot accept this room type. However, I get upgrade for my room type and live in a house that is great. When you make the booking, please take care for this since I think this cannot be upgrade in the peak season. Please note that the hotel just has 30 mins free wifi that is very strange.

Everything is going fine during our hotel stay. Stunning view with good room facilities. Walking distance to town centre. Really convenient.

床不舒服

公寓式酒店，因为达到的较晚，摸黑赶到那里前台已经没有人了，费劲的打听了半天，才在门口的保险箱里摸出钥匙。房间在一楼，没有空调，关门睡觉屋里一股味儿。靠着码头还算近。酒店出门一转弯有个white lady的店，吓一跳。。。

This property needs maintenance our room was clean and had everything you needed but badly needs work on it

We went away for a few days to recharge. It was perfect for us. Staff were wonderful and accommodation was perfect.

Apartment was lovely, very spacious, clean and very comfortable. Staff on arrival were very friendly and informative.

Pool looks huge in the pics, it isnt and for us, full of kids. Property is very tired and not properly cleaned or maintained. Toilets seats dont fit; 2 rolls of toilet paper provided super thin; fridge light doesn't work; no air in master bedroom, just one small window locked so you cant full open; no aircon in the bedrooms. Because there's no airflow through the 2 bedrooms they were dusty for us, wont be like this for everyone, just those sensitive to dust. Balcony is tiny with a small table and only 3 seats lol. Check in is after 3pm (quite late), we arrived 2:50pm and told the room not ready. The leather lounge is comfortable and theres a big TV (we connect our apple TV) but internet (Optus) is very poor. Very handy to walk a few blocks down to the shops and waterfront. NERO's ice cream is a must visit. Two large building sites between the Mantra and the water view. We were on level 2 which is really level 3, we did have a small view, not sure about lower levels. Disappointing, booked and paid for 5 nights but left after 3.

Overall was good, there was slight delay with check-in but we were able to use the pool while waiting.

Easy to make booking online, staff contacted me prior to check-in to confirm bed configuration. Friendly staff, clean and ample parking. Close to golf course, shops and restaurants.

Nice & easy

We, specifically, chose an apartment that wasn't a Pool View but we got one anyway We are old. The first day we were at the Mantra the noise from the screaming children was unbearable. Didn't cease till 9:15 pm (curfew was 9:00 pm). The apartment requires renovating and a good clean. Mould on the blind (which requires replacing) in the main bedroom. Probably because there was not a window in the room to air it out. Won't be booking through Wotif again!!!!

Great location – walking distance to town/Golf Club. Good condition, two bedroom two bathroom self-contained unit with pool views and easy parking. Only thing I didn’t like - in the past other people had fed the lorikeets which meant when we were trying to have some sundowners on the balcony we were being bothered by the birds.
