Decent stay. The room was quite lovely but the staff seemed overwhelmed by the hotel being quite busy, which was annoying as prices had also tripled due to how busy it was. I would’ve been much more content if I was paying the usual rate.

I loved the location and its proximity to restaurants and public transit. There’s also a beautiful park nearby, which was a great bonus. I would definitely stay here again and highly recommend Parramatta in general. The staff was excellent, especially Ruben at the front desk. He was friendly, attentive, and very helpful throughout my stay, which made the experience even better.

Unfortunately, my stay was impacted by extremely high noise levels. The room did not feel quiet or private at all. There were constant loud construction and machine noises, and the sound insulation seemed very poor. I could clearly hear heavy activity and noise from outside and surrounding areas, to the point where it genuinely felt like there was a family gathering or party happening inside my room. The noise started early in the morning and I was unable to sleep past 7am due to how loud it was. For a hotel stay, especially when you expect rest and comfort, this was really disappointing. I would strongly suggest reviewing the soundproofing and ensuring guests are informed if construction is taking place, as it significantly affected the experience.

Fantastic sized room that was clean, comfortable and conveniently located for us to get to/from Sydney Olympic Park to attend a concert.

Nice clean rooms, very spacious but hotel was very busy with Ed Sheeran concert and parking was a nightmare with all surrounding car parks full and elevators were extremely slow (especially being on the top floor with one of the elevators out of order)

A few issues considering the cost of $1000 for two nights: - live cockroach in room. - about 15cm of the toilet seat was sticky like it had the fluffy residue of an old sticker on it. That wasn’t pleasant. - the shower is very temperamental. It goes from warm to scorching hot then back to warm then to boiling your skin off. - pillows had no support and you just sank into them. ELEVATORS!!!! They are shocking. The wait time is ridiculous. 15-20minutes each time and this is at all hours of the day, not just busy check in/out times. On the positive: location is good, buffet breakfast was delicious, the lounge and service was excellent, room was quiet, bed was comfortable.

I’ve stayed at the Parkroyal Darling Harbour many times and expected a similar standard here, but the Parramatta location really missed the mark. The soundproofing is non-existent; we were placed in a room with a connecting door to another room we didn't request (not sure if all rooms have the option of being connected), and we could hear the neighbors’ normal-volume conversations so clearly it felt like we were in a library. It was incredibly uncomfortable because we felt like we couldn't even turn on the TV at night incase we would disturbed them. When I raised this, the management just offered to tell the neighbors to be quiet, but they weren't being loud; the building is just poorly insulated and you can hear everyone walking past the door or opening or closing there's. Logistically, it was a headache, there was no warning message to say the pre-paid parking could be full on the day of check-in although able to email you about promotions to upgrade your room for as little as $80.. The lifts were so cramped and slow it felt like a peak-hour train, yet you aren't allowed to use the stairs. Between the Olympic Park having major spectator events on with price hikes on all rooms and the lack of privacy, it definitely doesn't meet 4-star standards. It’s a shame, because the bed was comfortable, the rainfall shower was great, and the breakfast staff were lovely, but those perks don't make up for the lack of basic room quality.
