The rooms and property are in need of some renovations

For the price you can't complain. Area is not the best. Traffic noise could be an issue. It is well dated but the room was comfortable. The window didn't close and was very thin. There are good restaurants and shopping nearby.

A quintessential piece of Vancouverana. Okay it's a bit of a dodgy/sketchy part of town, but so what, it's rare for a Canadian - no matter how tough life is for them - to cause you harm. Have a couple of 'Fat Tugs' in the Waldorf Tiki bar and meet the locals !!

Perfect for my needs!

No frills and dollarama across the steet. Bus stop right outside the door. Friendly and courteous staff. Room was nice enough. Things were overall clean. However, the only thing I was not okay with was the black mold around the bottom of the shower.

We always stay here when we go to Vancouver. The rooms are a bit outdated but I really appreciate the security and the locked doors at all times. The staff are super friendly and caring and always treat us so good. We will be back in the summer.

The door was tricky to lock and unlock and the heating is via a space heater but not enough plugs. Bring a 6 strip to ensure you have enough power outlets.

Great value for the money, Victor at the front desk is an absolute beauty.

No blanket for second bed. People/staff were sneaking out emergency exit to smoke and left the door ajar. Paper thin walls

The room was in good condition. My concern was the shower. There was hot water but when you turn the shower on, the water was cold even waited for a while to get warm, but it didn’t. Staff was friendly and helpful. I would like to stay there again if the warm shower will be addressed.

The neighborhood this hotel is in did not feel safe for me my girlfriend who are two college age women. When we pulled into the parking lot, there were two random men messing around with power tools and taking up three parking spots. They had a dog with them and both the men and the dog were staring at us the whole time we were in the lot. There were lots of homeless people hanging out around the hotel as well. From the outside, the hotel just looks like a bar. We had a difficult time finding it and from the looks of it, it did not seem we’d get a good night sleep in a room over a bar. We did not feel safe at all and called asking to cancel our reservation. Unfortunately they do not offer any refunds for a cancellation so keep that in mind. In all honesty, we never even entered the hotel because we did not feel safe leaving our car with those men in the parking lot. It does not necessarily seem fair to rate this place because of that however, I do feel lied to about the location of this place and the security of it. The no-refund policy was also a bummer but they are transparent about that on the site. I would avoid this place if you’re not from the area and traveling alone.
