Hotel at the Waldorf

Reception was great with a friendly staff, great bar with good food and friendly staff. Rooms have only single pane windows so you hear a lot of noise, but they do offer ear protection.

Comfortable mattress, crisp clean sheets, spotless bathroom, plenty of hot water, good location for us. $13 taxi ride from the train station. Friendly helpful staff. Annoyingly audible traffic noise starting at 6 am, but maybe a room on the other side would be better. Sink faucet not properly seated, furnishings a bit shabby, no elevator.

Room not very clean. Accidentally dropped my contact case on the bathroom floor, when I picked it up it was completely COVERED in dust and dirt and nastiness as if bathroom floors haven't been vacuumed or mopped ever. Staff wasn't very helpful, gave us incorrect information about a "free" hop on/hop off bus to get around attractions downtown, when we got to the station and got on bus it was in fact not free at all. Tickets were over $70 and bus driver/tour guide basically called us stupid for thinking it was free like hotel and cab driver told us. Lots and lots of homeless people all drugged out living on the street hotel is located on. No elevator, just stairs. No help offered to get our luggage up to room. Would not stay at this hotel again.

Great value for a quaint vintage hotel, great area, convenient

Nice place, rustic. Great grill and bar below, gets noisy at night and just a t the edge of a rather rough neighborhood. We were on the quiet side and still could hear lots of music, and people going to the liquor store and traffic...

Do not stay here! This hotel is attached to a bar and loud music was heard and felt in our room until 2 am. We got no sleep. Free parking but it’s behind the hotel and kind of shady. The hotel staff member was nice. Do not stay here unless you do not value sleep and rest.

Homely environment, staffs are great; treat you like family members which I like. I wish there was a parking around but overall it’s worth your every buck. Thanks again

Check in was too late. Most of the hotels allow check in at 11:00 am but here it was at 3:00pm.

Excellent friendly staff, minus room, minus bathroom, scary surrounding

My queen room only came with 2 flat pillows, there were cracks in the ceiling and water damage splattered everywhere. When sitting in the toilet in the bathroom, you can’t open doors without getting hit.

Could not sleep tjey had an event with lod music amd people were making so much noise until 1:30 am doors we slamming very loud talking and banging doors

Hotel is very outdated

The staff were EXCELLENT; very kind and accomodating. However, my room was filthy (dead bugs on wall, stains on wall, stains on laundry including a yellow stain on the bedsheet) and I was not switched to a cleaned room after pointing the bedsheets out, the sheets were simply changed while I stood there (so I'm not comfortable with the mattress cleanliness, I didn't mind about staying in the room I paid for). The area is in Gadtown, which is widely regarded as unsafe and does include a locked door because of this. Again, not to the fault of the hotel, but I was not comfortable walking in the evening and for the price I paid that was a lot.

Clean room, staff was exceptional. It’s like 10/15 mins uber/bus ride to downtown.

Place was clean but very tired. Wi-fi was good, cheap supermarket across the road.staff friendly. Not in the best area, 2 miles to Coal harbour.
