The staff at the Waldorf were amazing. They came out to the curb to help us with our bags. They even helped us bring the bags upstairs. The bed was very nice and the room was clean. The problem is that the hotel is right on a very busy highway. Our room #108 was right up against the street. It was so loud in there that we thought that the window must be open. It wasn’t. There was a constant barrage of very loud racing cars, engines, tires screeching and sirens. It was horrible. It’s a shame that they can’t put in some kind of soundproof wall and window in there. Also, it’s not exactly in a safe area. The taxi driver told us not to walk around the area. We would not recommend it.

Beware and be warned. The hotel will send you a letter AFTER you book warning you about the surroundings. They’re much worse than what the letter says since it doesn’t say there’s a liquor store right there on the side of the building. I received the letter and immediately tried to cancel. Nope. It says the hotel will not refund under any circumstances. So, they wait till you book. Then they send you a letter that underestimated the area they’re in. And they won’t let you cancel. The letter will tell you there are homeless people a few blocks away. I saw them right outside the hotel. And homeless doesn’t cover the reality of drugged and drunk people. I certainly felt I couldn’t walk to downtown. So, I added the costs to taking taxis and Ubers. Which made the total cost more that a hotel in a decent area. To put it politely, I would not stay at this hotel if it were the last hotel on earth.

I canceled my stay. The lady was helpful & willing to support my refund. The dining option was closed for event, I did not feel my car was safe, nor my teen & I. The front door had broken glass & the property pictures online do not match.

The bed was awful. The left side of the mattress was so bad. New mattress desperately needed. Rough area. The window at the front lobby door was kicked in at some point and patched up with tape. Wouldn’t recommend it.

My room was small hot with no aircon. The water in the shower was very hard to adjust. The staff were very friendly and welcoming

The hotel is old but very well kept. The rooms were clean and there was a pub/restaurant right there, where we had delicious pizza's for supper. For breakfast we walked a block behind the hotel, to a very great restaurant. Staff were friendly and very helpful. The only downfall was there is no elevator. All the rooms are on the second floor. Anyone with mobility issues would need help with their luggage. All in all, it was a pleasant stay. Thank you

While the hotel were ok overall.... the AC in the room was good and kept the room cool, the room was clean and the staff were all friendly. However, the window were older and thus not as sound proof as i would like. Also, the the mattress were thinner.

The description of the property was misleading, they claim to be 3 minutes walking distance to sea ports, inferring that they are near the cruise ports. In fact they are a 12 min or so drive from the cruise ports and 3 min walk from cargo ports. There is no elevator on the property. The hotel and bar / restaurant are outdated and in disrepair. The hotel is in a terrible part of town, we were not comfortable walking around in the daytime. A terrible disappointment.

Oh what a hidden gem! Mia, Eunice, and the rest of the staff were fantastic.

Friendly, helpful staff and a very convenient location for cruise travelers — the hotel is older but well maintained and clean. Rooms are upstairs with no accessible entrance, though staff will gladly carry your bags upstairs; a grocery store and the popular Yolk breakfast spot are directly across the street, and the hotel’s attached diner and bar (the wagyu burger and onion rings were fantastic) make for easy dining options before your cruise.

Hotel is in a very sketchy part of town. Lots of homeless people and garbage everywhere. Not many eating places near the hotel but if you went over to Comnercial Street you had lots of choices and could experience little Italy. Hotel was very worn out. Linens were clean though and the bed although quite soft was comfortable. Would not stay there again.

Dated rooms use a key to lock/unlock. Staff was friendly. Pub attached & small liquor store on the side of the building. Some rough people in parking lot & around building at times so they keep entrance locked, guests use a fob. Good breakfast spot across the street. Bus stop out front. Ok for a couple night's sleep. Found the rate a bit high for this hotel.

The room was clean and the staff was very nice and helpful. However, the property is very run down. Also there’s no elevators. That’s a problem for older people to take luggage up and down the stairs. The staff offered to take it upstairs, but I think the property description is very misleading. Unfortunately I won’t stay here again. Also, we didn’t feel safe walking around the neighborhood.
