Hotel at the Waldorf

Staff has always been excellent.

Terrible location basically a drug den. Floors were sticky and old.

This is a boutique hotel with 32 rooms with an excellent staff. All rooms are on 2nd floor and requires you to climb stairs to get to your room. Street noise and weekend live music can be disturbing. There are homeless people roaming streets. Close to several Vancouver attractions. Clean, convenient with restaurant and bar off lobby and transportation easy to access.

The staff was extremely helpful. The location was close to everything I needed. I wish there had been an elevator but other than that it was a good experience.

The area is not the best , it’s the older part of Vancouver. A lot of homeless in the area. The hotel does lock and you get buzzed in to enter and I saw a security guy at the door during our two night stay. The staff member Mia P. Was very friendly and helpful since it was our first time in Vancouver, and first time in Canada. She answered all my questions.The perks are the grocery store across the street called No frills , Dollarama across the street as well and a few blocks down there is an A&W that we tried. Just in case you need drinks or snacks. They call in a hotel but it’s more like an Inn. No elevator, had a weird smell to it , not really clean. Our room was down the haul at the end next to emergency exit that was open , idk why. Our door to our room was hard to open and close. The room looked clean and we needed help with the TV and AC unit. The water while showering is the worst! It’s either hot or cold, front desk clerk said let it run for 5-10min but that didn’t work. Also the shower looked grimy, they need to clean better. No phone to call front desk in the room . For the price of two nights it Needs a lot of work , deep cleaning and amenities to be called a hotel. Oh lastly there’s a bar next door so it was super loud one night and you can hear the music all night . So annoying ! I’m glad it was a quick stay.

Honestly for the price I was expecting a much nicer place.

Very Good

No AC in the room, just a fan. The Waldorf is a good place for single travellers wanting to access the east side, for the bus network. For me an earlier Checkin would be appreciated, as I travel from Asia, and just want a bed. This is a consideration the staff should make for repeat customers. ie a 12 PM check in instead of 3PM

Luxury in the heart of misery. I will always stay here when going to concerts at PNE or Rickshaw

Price was a ripped off. Does not feel safe. Door handle falling off. You could hear all the noises from the next room and outside the windows. People getting into their rooms past midnight wakes you up.

Place was great, the man who checked us in was absolutely lovely. The room itself wasn’t anything special, but it was in good quality for the price point. Biggest issue was the area. I was glad I was there with my partner. But had I been alone as a single woman, I would have been a bit scared. It was a bit of shady area, lots of vagrants, trash, needles on the street, etc.

The bed head and shower door were both scratched

Rooms smelled very strongly of some kind of chemical cleaner. Bed bugs, poor lighting, weird bamboo tiki bar asthetic, super sketch street, drugs being dealt on the corner, unsafe parking, the staff was lovely tho.

porivate party going on...no bar; no food facility.. no elevatpor..not good for mobility impaired.

Only issue was the window blind did not keep it very dark in the room.

Great bat and restaurant next door and breakfast place around the block. Let me keep my bags during the day of checkout while I waited for my next hotel to be available!
