The staff was excellent, location terrific.

Perfect location, clean large room with comfortable beds, friendly staff!

Clean, quiet, room with a comfortable bed. The daily room cleaning was missed a couple of days.

Beautiful hotel!

Great location. An older hotel that appears to be going through a transition from an older bygone era into a more boutique appearance. My room was very clean and my short two night stay was very quiet. No bells and whistles but very quaint with an older European feel. Great location in a diverse city neighborhood. I definitely would stay there again.

I ran the Montreal Marathon and finished at about 12:15. Returning to the hotel was not easy. When I arrived, they didn’t allow for a late check-out (check-out is at 12, of course). I was very willing to pay extra to go upstairs, take a shower, and leave. But, they were not flexible, at all. I will never recommend this hotel

The hotel staff were extremely nice and very helpful.

It's walkable to old Montreal, Near a College, Evening stroll. busy areas for night life if interested. Was overall good place. We only stayed a night and it was just perfect. Not a luxury place but good, clean and comfortable and affordable.

Rue St Paul, Notre Dame and the harbour all within easy walking distance. Good dining on St Denis. One member of staff especially on the day shift was excellent her name in English was Jane. This hotel is old however clean and quiet.

Locations, locations and locations. It is near everything. 10 minutes walk to the river, 15 minutes walk to the many historical sites of old montreal. 10 mins walk to Chinatown. The hotel is old, but clean and price is far better than most of the hotels nearby. We will stay here again in the future.

I have no idea how this property got an Excellent rating. This was the worst hotel I have ever been in. I am shocked that Expedia would even list this as an option!

The room didn’t even have a bottle of water in it. There was a smell in it of an oppressive cleaning fluid coupled perhaps with curtains that needed cleaning. A whirring noise perhaps off a generator was ongoing outside the solitary window. There was a portion of the upper window that thankfully opened for air. The air conditioner itself needed its filter cleaned. It had a musty smell when turned one. I liked that they did not hold $200 like the other hotels and the mattress was comfortable enough but otherwise the place Ned’s some sprucing up.
