A surprisingly good value for money accommodation experience

The light and utensils were not enough.

The front desk was very helpful. The room was clean and specious and the staff made our check in process quick and simple. We got to check in 2 hours earlier which was nice! I just wish the staff were more clear in mentioning the elevator key card process. I also wish they mentioned that they had extra toiletries in stock at the front if you didn’t bring them like a toothbrush, razor or extra toilet paper. They have them in stock, but you need to ask for them. The hotel was extremely close to the Centre Bell arena, Sainte-Catherine street and the Megabus station if travelling by bus (like how I did for the Ariana Grande Concert. I took a bus from Toronto to Montreal and used Ubers to get around the city- which was very affordable. Great food places nearby. Other than that, the stay was excellent would highly recommend choosing Le Nouvel even for a one day stay!!

Friendly and helpful staff overall. Nice, clean, quiet neighborhood. Didn’t make use of the amenities so can’t speak to them (terrace, gym, etc). Rooms were comfortable and as shown/described. Location was pretty centrally located relative to trains and major neighborhoods (train is maybe a 5 minute walk). Other guests were low-key. For the price, in American money, you definitely are handed a solid deal. I enjoyed my stay.

I do not recommend this hotel. The price was far too expensive for what was offered. The room was very small, the service was poor, and there wasn’t even a complimentary bottle of water in the room. Overall, the hotel did not meet my expectations. Considering the high price, I expected much better quality and service. Unfortunately, my experience was very disappointing. I would not stay here again, and I do not recommend that others book this hotel.

Rooms were clean and staff was helpful

Our room was very nice and the amenities checked all the boxes but were disappointing. Pool and gym very small and the restaurant looked like a college cafeteria. No ambiance at all. Not a lot close by but we did find a good restaurant about a mile away. Loved the tables and chairs outside.

I’ve stayed here a few times - the rooms are beautiful, the location is convenient and still quiet at night, and the staff is super friendly and helpful. Definitely my go-to hotel when I’m in the city.

Location, location, location. Nouvel Hotel was perfectly located just a few blocks away from the Bell Centre, where my family was going to see Ariana Grande perform one of her last shows, at least for now. But what we didn't know was that the hotel was also perfectly located close to the heart of Downtown Montreal. At arrival the front desk clerk, I wish I had asked her name, she had really cool women portrait tattoos on her arm, well anyway, she gave us the run down on what was where and how to get there. The best places for Montreal bagels, poutine, and how to walk in the hallowed grounds that were once home to one of my favorite poet/songwriters Leonard Cohen. Almost immediately we were out exploring St. Catherine, Crescent, Guy, and other nearby Rues. We kind of became regulars at the nearby Moose Bawr, say hi to Zach the bartender if you go. Everyone at the hotel went out of their way to make sure we got the most out of 4 days in Montreal. They gave the insider secrets and recos, that made us feel part that amazing city. I would stay there again in a heartbeat, right in the heart of Montreal.

Chambre propre. Micro-onde et frigo utiles. Service au chanbre lent. Le divan-lit n’était pas confortable (on sent les ressorts), les enfants s’en sont plaint. La piscine était chauffée et propre, mais dans un coin un peu malpropre. C’était globalement quand même bien pour la famille.

L'hôtel est bien placé et la chambre était très propre. Le seule chose est que si votre chambre est placée du côté du boulevard, c'est vraiment très bruyant. Étant sensible au bruit, j'avais demandé une chambre ne donnant pas sur une route passante. Ma demande n'a pas été prise en compte, et je n'ai vraiment pas pu dormir. C'est dommage.

It’s an older building. The pictures don’t quite give it the same vibe. The courtyard nearby can be loud on nights. Parking garage has a 5’8” clearing in some spots, so if you have a large vehicle, you may want to rethink. The rooms are nice and clean.

I booked a room with 2 separate beds, the reception staff said that Expedia had not requested that so despite what we’d paid for we were getting a bed with a sofa bed. They were not helpful, just dismissive. In the room, the sofa bed was old and uneven meaning a bad nights sleep. Hairs in the bathroom and hairs in the bed. The pool is also not a pool for adults, it’s a paddling pool for children! Facilities were very dated.
