酒店很有特色，穿过酒店的bar到达lodge所在的小庭院。庭院还可以通到二楼露台及室内早餐所在的餐厅。 房间内暖气打开很快暖和起来，卫生间和淋雨分开，单独地暖。房间大小适中，展开一个大箱子比还不影响正常活动。 早餐很好，稍微有点慢，可能因为我们习惯了着急。

这是一幢用历史古建筑装修出来的酒店，感觉很不错。不时有路过的旅行团导游停下来给团友讲解这幢建筑的历史，不过我听不懂。房间设施也挺不错。 该酒店的一楼是酒店自营的对外营业餐厅，从早到晚都有各种餐品提供，不过完全不吵，大家可以放心。订房带的早餐就在这个餐厅用餐，冷食部分自助，热食部分不自助，他们会给每人现做一盘丰盛的英式早餐，份量很足够，也很美味。用餐的一楼很有古堡味道，不少食客忍不住拍了照再走。 酒店位置非常方便，从火车站走过去大概10分钟，需要游览的地点都在周围，我们逛累了就回去休息一下再接着逛，感觉非常好。 工作人员也都热情有礼貌。 不过毕竞是古建筑装修出来的，感觉跟真正的五星级酒店还是有一定差距。然而，总之，我还是很满意很推荐这个酒店。

首先地理位置非常优越，离火车站几分钟的距离。住在一楼，对于提行李的旅客来说非常省力。卫生间与洗澡间是分开的，头顶为圆窗采用自然光，感觉顶灯一般。每天还会有酒店自制的小饼干，非常好吃。离约克的大教堂也几分钟步行距离，很近。很满意的住宿体验。

Terrace room we booked looked out directly into diners and drinkers a few feet away so blinds kept closed. Room was clean but needed a refresh as furnishings tired, walls marked, blinds broken. Building is well located with an interesting history and the cellar bar was good. There are much better rooms elsewhere for the price

Very friendly staff, spacious clean rooms, well furnished and comfortable bed. This is definitely a do over if we return to York.

Comfortable and safe stay, but this did not feel like a 5* experience. The room was beautiful however, it was cramped for 2 adults and 2 children. We had dinner at the restaurant, which was average at best however, the breakfast was very good with a varied selection. The hotel is an excellent choice for its location but just didn’t match its 5 star reputation.

Pros: central location, amazing breakfast, gorgeous main building, beautiful Christmas decorations. Cons: shabby room (poor quality furniture, black mold, dripping condescension), tiny room, bad view of wall/alley (we booked courtyard room but it was a side annex past bins and bike rack), loud and stern check in staff. I don’t think this hotel deserves such a high rating, but if you splash out on a fancy room then you would be happier. The terrace rooms are more modern and might also be better quality. Avoid the courtyard rooms!

Ideal location for a city trip. Staff very friendly. Food excellent, rooms very clean.

The room was impeccable, with lovely thoughtful touches such as a radio and bath robes. The products in the bathroom were an extremely high quality. Comfy bed and perfect locations. The staff were so friendly too. Would highly reccomend.

We loved staying at Judges Lodgings. Our visit to York was an early Christmas treat and the hotel was beautiful and we received a warm welcome. The rooms were lovely, clean, comfortable and stylish. Breakfast was first class. Will definitely come back and would highly recommend.

Brilliant room, staff were excellent

The hotel was beautiful. Breakfast spectacular. Be aware - there is no locked storage area if you arrive early. When they communicate that they will store your luggage until check-in time, it is just sitting out below a set of stairs for other patrons to see and potentially remove.

Absolutely great room, breakfast was fantastic, and the lady host Aga was perfect and very friendly. We would recommend this hotel A word of warning do not confuse this hotel with judges court, they are not the same. We look forward to returning.

Very clean, spacious room, comfy bed. Breakfast was tasty & there was a good menu choice. Hotel was centrally located which was handy.

Great stay in a perfect location for exploring the city

Great location and really unique place to stay in York. Convenient to train station and anywhere you want to go within York. Lovely breakfast and well appointed rooms. Great pub too! I would stay here again for sure!

This is a wonderful old building with quaint decor, a lovely staff, and very tasty breakfast. It's perfectly located being both easy to get to from the train station and a short stroll from the sites of York. There is a bit of noise from the bars, but luckily they provide ear plugs of you need them.

Had a great stay. Only 3 points of issue, in room. 1. lumpy pillows 2. smell from the drains 3. no fridge
