Great location. Very good view on the rooftop and nice breakfast. The staffs are nice. The room is clean ,and it is easy to take a taxi or walk to acropolis from here.

The Athens Gate Hotel has a strong advantage in terms of location, especially if your priority is to have major tourist attractions within walking distance. The rooftop is also a highlight, offering an almost 360-degree view over Athens, which is impressive. However, the overall experience fell short of expectations. Specific room requests were completely ignored, resulting in a disappointing stay. The assigned room was on the first floor, dark, and featured only a small window. Additionally, it faced the street, making it very noisy at night due to surrounding nightlife. The breakfast experience was equally underwhelming - basic, clearly optimized for efficiency rather than quality or guest experience. To make matters worse, the staff, from reception to the breakfast area, came across as unfriendly and unwelcoming. While the location and rooftop view are definite positives, the lack of attention to guest preferences, room quality, and service significantly impacts the overall experience.

I love Athens gate. The rooftop bar and breakfast are the best things about it. Great location too.

Breakfast was very good and the views from the roof breakfast restaurant made this well worth staying here. The rooms were small and very average.

Hotel is centrally located and easy to access

The location cannot be better! We were able to walk everywhere. The front desk staff was friendly and extremely helpful. Breakfast was superb. And the view of the Acropolis from our room was utterly magical.

The hotel is in a great location and walking distance to most Athens attractions. There are a lot of restaurants and bars within just a minute or two walk from here. The hotel itself was very nice. Inviting lobby. The entire staff was super friendly… from the front desk to the doormen to the cleaning staff. There’s a restaurant on the eighth floor that offers a buffet breakfast and it’s included in your room rate. The food is really good and though it doesn’t vary that much it’s a nice breakfast option for sure. We had dinner one night at this restaurant and it was fantastic. The view is of the Parthenon all lit up and it’s spectacular. On the other side of the restaurant, the view is of the Zeus ruins, which are just a bunch of columns, but still pretty interesting to see from eight floors up. Food is excellent. We also had drinks up there a few nights, and they were great. The restaurant is very reasonably priced. Our room was cleaned daily and hada safe and small refrigerator. Plenty of storage for clothing.There is a balcony; one thing I would suggest is that they put a chair two out on the balcony because it’s nice to sit outside and people watch. Instead, we stood out there and did that. The hotel did not have coffee in the lobby On days that we were leaving early, we couldn’t get coffee before the restaurant opened at 7 AM. But this is not a big deal. The hotel arranged airport transfer, and the drivers were on time. I will definitely stay at this hotel again.
