The staff were very nice and helpful. The interior, both in the rooms and the common areas, is sooo much nicer than it looks from the outside. The buffet breakfast is amazing. The roof top bar is a highlight. Both have a fantastic view of the Acropolis, day or night. This hotel is in a great location and walkable to so many things to see and do. If we ever get back to Athens Greece again, this will be our go to place to stay!

Satisfied with the overall stay and service. Excellent location since acropolis, temple of Zeus and Plaka all in walking distance. Also safe to walk at night. Only thing I was shocked to see was water charge even if you stay with them

This property is in a great location. Breakfast is food and the employees are very friendly, helpful and professional. This hotel is always one of my top choices when I go to Athens.

The hotel’s location was excellent—right in the centre and within easy walking distance to everything you need for a stay in this bustling city. Breakfast, though limited in selection, was tasty, the coffee was excellent, and the staff were attentive. Check-in and check-out were friendly and uncomplicated, and we appreciated that the hotel was able to store our bags after check-out. Unfortunately, the room itself did not meet the expectations of a four-star property. It was dark and felt dingy due to the very small curtain opening, and overall cleanliness was questionable (when moving the bedside table to look for a power outlet, it was dusty behind there). There were no outlets or USB ports near the bed, which was inconvenient. The flooring—made up of plank-style panels—was lifting and peeling, especially near the bathroom. The bathroom was functional with good water pressure, but had cracked tiles, visible mould around the shower base, and poor lighting, making it impractical for tasks such as applying makeup. The lifts were also tiny, slow, and very dated. Overall, the hotel served its purpose for a short stay, and given its central location, it worked well as a base for exploring the city. However, the room standard and facilities fell short of what we would expect from a four-star hotel.

The Athens Gate is perfectly located to see the sights of Athens. The restaurant has a wonderful view of the Parthenon. Lots of restaurants in the area. The staff was wonderful. Very helpful and friendly. The beds were comfy and the room was very clean. Would stay here again

Excellent location. Great front desk and bellman staff. Roof top dining view is beyond amazing. Rooms very comfortable. You could see the Acropolis from where we were, the National Botanical Gardens are right across the street and it’s within walking distance to so many things you want to visit on a trip to Athens!

Centrally located. Within walking distance to shops, restaurant, and historical sites. The staff are friendly and the room has a great view.

The property was conveniently located within walking distance to many sites and eateries. The room was clean and the staff was very accommodating and professional. The breakfast was also perfect with views of Acropolis/Pantheon .
