1) Effective from June 1, 2014, the City Council of Penang will impose a Local Council Tax of MYR 3 per room per night for 4 and 5-star hotels, and MYR 2 per room per night for 0 to 3-star hotels. The star rating will be in accordance to the rating from Local Council and should the rating differ from the website, the local council rating will apply. This fee is being included in Hotel's Room Rate. 2) With effect from 01 September 2017, with reference to the Law of Malaysia Act 791, Tourism Act 2017, hotel guests who are non-Malaysian or non-Permanent Resident of Malaysia, are committed to a Tourism Tax of MYR 10.00 nett per room night of stay as determined and imposed by the Malaysian Government, which is not included in the reservation and will be collected by the hotel upon check in. Hotel has a history and the surrounding environment is nice for sure, the restaurant at 6 floor, facing the seashore and relaxing. Management quality of the hotel can be improved however. Specially, I found a total of around 10 ants at random places over two days in the room. The luggage being said will send to the room, but it never appear after 3 hours. Staffs at reception desks can be nicer and more helpful.

但一到步check in 的時候，突然停電，等左一陣就回復正常。
點知我地出左去一陣回來，在大堂的時候，職員告知停電，要等兩個鐘才有電，房間沒有冷氣。好彩的是，房間還有冷氣的餘溫，未至於感覺熱，但所有電器用品，我地都不能充電。
我地等了兩個鐘，都還未有電，但好彩夜晚食完晚飯返黎，就有返電了。

The hotel rooms are still under repair! The corridors and rooms are being painted, so there is a strong smell of paint as soon as you get out of the elevator! Our room smelled of paint, obviously freshly painted! Changed the room on another floor, still smell of paint. It is really unacceptable! I have stayed in different 5 star hotels in different countries and this has not happened before! It’s the worst experience in my life!

有歷史感的酒店，非常氣派，重點是倚托過去而生的那份雍容感。除了住宿，行前我還預訂了晚餐跟跨年派對，表現得可圈可點，可謂今此最難忘的部分──然而，入住我準時抵達酒店、準備CHECK IN，接待人員以房間尚在清掃為由，無法準時給房，以至於延遲入住（late check-in）；以酒店的規格來說，這件事不應當發生，就算發生了，也應該有相應的措施，例如給予飲品招待券或給予延退等補償，希望下回百年酒店在應對之際能更加積極，畢竟造成了住客實際的損失（花錢但無法充分享受足夠的入住時刻）！
