We spent a fantastic two weeks at Tamassa Bel Ombre. The team were warm, attentive and consistently professional, and both the restaurants and buffet were excellent throughout our stay. The themed evenings were a real highlight, particularly the Mauritian night, which beautifully captured the spirit and flavours of the island.
The beachfront location is ideal for long, peaceful walks, and the lagoon is perfect for snorkelling – highly recommended. The spa facilities are well maintained and a great place to unwind. It’s also conveniently positioned for exploring the main tourist attractions across the island.
A very well-run resort in a superb setting.

Dålig städning av rummen, våra glas diskades inte under hela vistelsen. Minibar och vatten fylldes inte på. Trasiga solstolar. Ingen servering vid solstolarna så man fick gå långt för att hämta dryck. Långa köerna i barer där det bara fanns en enda bartender och resterande anställda tittar bara på. Återkommande fel i bar och restaurangbeställningar. Hotellet säljer day pass till locals vilket bildar köer till foodtruck och barer. Sammanfattningsvis så är servicen urusel. Vi åker gärna tillbaka till Mauritius men inte till detta hotellet.

From the onset the front office staff at the welcome desk was incapable of checking us in without friction. The lady who showed us the room was very apathetic ans seemed uninterested in helping us in a professional manner.
The restaurant staff also made us feel like we were in their way. They refused us to sit where we like and insisted that we sit on an 'appropriate' table suited for our family. There was also not a good view in the restaurant which made it feel very enclosed. In the evenings, there is a dress code, but the waiters looks unneat themselves (dirty shioes etc).
The room was fine.
There are better value propositions in Mauritius. Avoid if you can.

La liste des points positifs de notre séjour en décembre 2025 est bien longue: gentillesse du personnel, beauté du cadre, sympathie de l’équipe d’animation, qualité de la nourriture, organisation des festivités, soirées des fêtes de fin d’année exceptionnelles, respect du calme par les autres vacanciers, grande quantité de transat mis à disposition, … des vacances inoubliables.
