The staff were very helpful and the room is spacious and clean.

I had two uneventful two night solo stays at this hotel three weeks apart. Uneventful that is until I checked out the second time and 24 hours later had $56 lifted from my debit card. On querying the charge I was informed I’d spilled a cup of coffee on the carpet, which took an hour and eight towels to clean up. I protested my innocence and was told to email my complaint, which I did. The reply from their franchise director clearly implied I was lying and had four very dubious photos attached, showing various towels arranged on the floor, purporting to show how they’d been used to clean up the spill, which must have been at least a bucketful of coffee. All in all a work of pure fiction ! More annoying is that they claimed to have noticed the spill just after I checked out, but waited 24 hours to take the money, ensuring I was far enough out of the way not to return. Well I learned my lesson the hard way, if you’re booked to stay here make sure you get them to inspect your room as you check out and ensure they remove your card details. If you’re considering booking I’d swerve this one. Nothing wrong with the hotel, but not to be trusted.

We found the parking situation annoying. The information at booking is that “parking available” which translated to parking is $15. Then, after parking and paying the fee we found out there was free parking at the rear of the building.

Very efficient toilets. Staff however could have helped us with our bags into the storage cupboard

Room had everything we needed, well equipped kitchen, nice beds. Unfortunately the air cons blasted a smell of cooking oil when turned on. Saturday night shenanigans (cars, grog, fights) happened in the square behind the hotel until the early hours and a visit by the local cops.

Bed was ok but cleaning staff noisy even with a do not disturb sign on door location was ok

Staff very good from reception to room servicing. Two good mirrors in room.Good shower. Desk Table Chairs and Kitchen all good. Central city position. Short wak to supermarket cafs and restaurants. Parking if you need it. Sunny room with views.

Beware of Quest Nelson, they will charge your credit card after you leave without any notification for 'additional cleaning'. This was the second time my partner and I stayed at Quest Nelson (this time it was for 5 nights), we were clean and respectful of the space as we always are, and after checking out we discovered an additional unexplained charge on our credit card. After emailing reception to enquire, thinking it was an error, Quest Nelson informed us of an additional night's charge to to 'extra cleaning required', and when we requested additional information to substantiate the claim, they completely avoided any response. Separately, my partner was involved in an accident and required crutches so we booked an accessible room. On the day he was coming out of the hospital I asked reception to inform the cleaning staff that there were a lot of items (rubbish, vacuum cleaner, rollaway bed etc) that was blocking the hallway and a potential trip hazard, and asked the hallway be clear for when we return to our room. That request was taken on board for that first day, however every subsequent day, there continued to be items in the hallway blocking easy access to the room. Overall, I am disappointed in Quest Nelson and would recommend you avoid them as our experience has been just awful.

We had an unexpected late check in and early go and couldn’t have been more helpful with everything!

The staff were very accommodating and the check in was quick and hassle- free. The room was clean and was with everything we need except for the body lotion. There was an elderly guest lady who fell in front of the hotel due to uneven surface, which I believe the management should look at as she tripped and ended up having a deep cut on her forehead. This is a health and safety hazard that they should give importance to. Also, there were no available first aid kits on site. The male Receptionist was amazing as he helped us with what we need during the emergency as my partner and I were both Nurses. He also helped us in jump starting our car. First aid training I guess is important just to be able to know what to do in emergency cases like fall. It was our first time in Nelson and definitely would love to come back and stay at Quest again. Thank you for the wonderful service ❤️

It was fine

When we arrived reception was closed and asked to see reception in morning.. I left my car in the car park as inline said parking available. On meeting a male colleague in the morning he was quite rude and unhelpful around the parking as I had booked through a 3rd party.. and couldn’t use the car park. What he failed to explain was that there was ample free parking on the road for an hour or overnight in the public car park which we found out by asking a local cafe owner..

Strongly recommend this hotel in the centre of Nelson right downtown with lots of restaurants in walking distance. Staff was extremely friendly. Rooms are large and clean.

Unfortunately the room was not ready on check in. Check in was 2pm room was not ready till 2:30pm. Room was not serviced by the time we got back from a day out. We got back at approx 2:30pm and rooms were still being cleaned on our floor. As we were tired we told the house keeping staff not to worry about our room as we didn't want to have to wait before we could relax. Insufficient parking for a hotel of this size. We had to opt for a parking lot behind the hotel, having to walk back and forth in the rain was quite annoying.

Stort rum, hyfsat välutrustat, stor parkering i närheten (gratis 5pm - 8am).

Had everything you neede. Loved the laundry in the apartment
