I booked for "Superior Double" with a small sofa for sitting. But they give me lower category room type, "Executive Double" or "Double". And is accessibility room which has no shower door and so slippery after shower. The hotel never mention anything at all during check in. Can not ge what I paid and choose.

Everyone friendly and check in easy. Breakfast excellent. Rooms great with comfortable bed and amenities. Would recommend.

The location is perfect, right near Arthur’s seat and easy access into the main centre (via bus or a 25 min walk). The staff were so kind and helpful with anything that we needed and the breakfast is a must! The hotel was absolutely beautiful, but the staff made the experience 10/10. We will definitely be coming back, we felt welcomed upon arrival and the free parking is a bonus! Absolutely exceptional.

Quiet location, bus stop is just outside the Pollock Halls grounds. Walking distance to the city. It is an old building, very charming and well maintained. However, there is no lift , staircases are narrow , getting help to bring luggage up can be a bit of of a wait. Overall, always a lovely stay.

Great beautiful hotel, with friendly staff.

Das Hotel ist absolut außergewöhnlich! Wer etwas besonderes sucht, sollte unbedingt hier übernachten. Von der Begrüßung bis zum Check-out war alles perfekt. Wir werden das Hotel auf jeden Fall weiterempfehlen. Die Freundlichkeit und Hilfsbereitschaft der Mitarbeiter ist besonders zu erwähnen! Das Frühstück und das ganze Ambiente ist einfach nur wunderbar. Wir hatten ein Signature Zimmer (Nr 33) gebucht. Es ist ein sehr geräumiges und ruhiges Eckzimmer. Das Bett ist herrlich gemütlich. Besonders gut hat uns auch der „Kamin“ gefallen.

lovely building, great breakfast, our standart room was a little small. no elevators; you have to carry your luggages yourself/we were lucky to have arrived not at an older age☺️✌️

Gediegenes Ambiente

Room was immaculate, Staff very helpful and always available. Breakfast was amazing with good quality products and presentation. The bar is small but fits well into the environment. Bar staff willing to provide requests such as cocktails not on the bar list. 😁

Das Hotel ist wirklich wunderschön. Sehr nettes und hilfsbereites Personal. Sehr gutes Frühstück. Perfekt mit den Öffis zu erreichen. Bushaltestelle direkt vorm Hotel und kurze Busfahrt in die Altstadt. Wir haben uns sehr wohl gefühlt und empfehlen dieses Hotel jedem der nach Edinburgh reist.

This was a beautiful stay, immaculate room and facilities and quiet, peaceful with heritage and charm. Would recommend!

Hyggelig betjening, fine rom, topp beliggenhet

My room was absolutely lovely! It had a little sitting nook that looked out at Arthur’s Seat. The staff was very friendly and super helpful! The location is right by public transport. My room was ready when I arrived quite early! My only complaint was that they’d run out of venison at the restaurant, and only part of the bathroom floor is heated. I will definitely stay at this hotel again. I highly recommend it!

Unser Zimmer lag am Eck des im 17. Jahhundert erbauten verwinkelten Hauses. Die Mitarbeiter durchweg sehr höflich und freundlich. Unser Zimmer war sauber, mit großem Badezimmer mit Dusche. Das Fenster im Bad war etwas wackelig in der Führung und leicht zugig. Der Handtuchheizkörper schafft es nicht ganz das Badezimmer warm zu halten, die Tür zum Zimmer muss offen bleiben. Vermisst habe ich eine Steckdose für den Föhn im Bad, lediglich eine Rasierersteckdose ist im Bad gewesen. Wir sind vom The Scott auch in die Innenstadt gelaufen, sind ca. 25Min Gehzeit. Das Frühstück ist herausragend! Auch englisches Frühstück kann bestellt werden. Der Dining room ist klein und fein und lässt einen entspannt und gestärkt in den Tag starten.
