Highfield Private Hotel

I stayed here with my family ten years ago, and I am back solo traveling. This hotel is like a family-owned hotel, no fancy decor and even no lift, but the owner was very nice. He chatted with me and was kind enough to carry my suitcase up the stairs for me. He even offered me a room for three people only for myself. The only thing I would complain about is the transportation, but there is a train station and a bus stop only less than five minutes away. I would stay here again.

非常差，雙人房地上有一舊舊既塵，一堆堆頭髮，甚至玻璃碎，而且不在隱蔽角落(在房正中央)，可見完全連基本打掃也沒有，更恐怖的是，打開被單後，發現床單枕袋上都佈滿一點點既麈，晚上更有蟑螂，我們度過了很糟的4晚，絕不建議此酒店。。。

Was a cheap fit for purpose establishment at a budget price with privacy, close to train station and amenities. We dined at a lovely place nearby and seen the sights we came for. If you're after something hoyty toyty it's not the place for you but if you want somewhere clean at a good price with friendly staff it ideal.

Everything was clean, even if a bit run down. Even had AC which some of 4 star hotels we've been in lately didn't. Staff was excellent: friendly and helpful. Room was small (no room for a chair, just a stool) but the bed was "awesome." Only had two bath towels - no hand towels or wash cloths.

Great location, great value, clean room and friendly manager. Will be staying here again.

Our welcome was friendly and our room was clean. Only 30 min walk to Circular Quay and the Opera House. Close to Kings Cross station.

The staff was amazing and I loved having a full kitchen to cook in too. I love to walk and the location was perfect. Kings cross is a 1minute away if you need to catch the train and the area is filled with shops, food and so close to the Botanical gardens, museums, ferries and the main attractions! I’m returning there in a few days before I head out of Sydney to Melbourne! 5❤️

SCAMMERS. I never leave reviews, but this property needs one to warn others. I booked a double room with en-suite bathroom. Upon arrival around 8:00 a.m, we asked to drop off our luggage while waiting to check-in and were told we could get another room immediately. The only difference, we were told, was a single bunk above the double bed. Exhausted from a flight from London and needing a shower, we agreed. The room was nothing like what I had seen on Wotif. It was small, ugly, and faced a wall. The bathroom was tiny, with no hand soap and no hooks for towels. The bedsheets and pillowcases were barely acceptable. I’ve travelled extensively, including backpacker hostels, and this was the worst I’ve seen. Noise was unbearable. You could hear everyone around you, from loud voices to music, from 10 p.m. until 6 a.m. Every time someone walked past, the bed moved and made a metallic sound. After check-out, I understood why. The room we were given, room 5, IS NOT ADVERTISED ON WOTIF. Out of 61(polished) photos, it is not shown. This is FALSE advertising!!! The room was riddled with bugs, especially in the bathroom, including a 5cm long cockroach I encountered one night. Despite calling itself a hotel, it provides NO service. The room was never serviced, towels were not replaced, and toilet paper was not replenished. We had to ask, and were given one roll. If you don’t mind bugs, noise, begging for basic supplies, and gambling on which room you’ll get, this property is for you
