Mercure Hunter Valley Gardens

This hotel is next to the hunter valley garden. The views outside the balcony is pretty good and I can see the sun rise in the morning. The room is big and comfortable. It has free wifi and it is stable. However, I think the bed is too soft for me.

The hotel is conveniently located in Hunter Valley with basic facilities. Its restaurant is good.

We spend a night at this wine country location. Hunter Valley is a frat place to visit, especially during the Christmas Lights season. The hotel location is great. You can walk to the Hunter Valley Gardens which is the center of the town. The service of the hotel is great. Breakfast is okay, but at 32 dollars, it is not worth the price. We spent 32 dollars for a main dish at a really good restaurant. The rooms are really spacious, one problem is that our phone isn't working while we were there. Another seems to be insects. Due to the gardens there are plenty of creatures lurking around, so make sure everything is shut and keep the lights off when u are away. 10 am checkout is a little too early, but the staff gave us an extension till 12 noon, which was really kind of them. Over all, a great stay and will definitely stay here again.

Great hotel, clean but a little dated. Breakfast was ok, not a lot choice and staff were slow but helpful.

Room was clean and well maintained. Staff very friendly and helpful. Parking was right outside our room Close to the Hunter valley gardens and Harrigans and a number of wineries. Pool area looked a great place to spend a Sunny afternoon. The main dining room was closed due to renovations and so dinner was in the breakfast room. The staffing was very poor in that the young lady attending to the dining room was also the bar tender. She was extremely busy and was doing her best to do both areas with a smile and grace. It is however unfair to expect someone to cover both those areas. The meals we had were very good, but to pay $48 for a chicken breast in a sauce was definitely on the steep side given the environment, staffing, and lack of finesse.

Super clean and well maintained property! Best central location there is! Staff were lovely and we’d definitely recommend to all.

pool table was poor condition and no chalk and cues poor. shower had poor water pressure. hot breakfast buffet didn't reload quick enough. staff were good though

Great location. Close to many vineyards, restaurants. Great view on the lake. Easy parking. Friendly staff. We did not try their restaurant, spa or pool - something to do next time. Fast wi-fi. Quiet place. Very cozy lounge with a nice fireplace and friendly faces. We visited in June - Hunter Valley did not have many visitors, so we were lucky. Pool table was the only minor disappointment. It's great to have it, but the cues and balls require replacement and the table needs levelling. In overall - great place.

Parking super convenient, right infront of our room and very lovely staff! The spa bath in our room was my favourite, we also enjoyed the on site resturant and easy walk to the Hunter Valley shops and gardens next door. Would highly recommend

Convenient for our purposes, just a bit tired. But the staff and service waa great. The room needed better ventilation, our bathroom seemed very damp and took ages to dry out after use.

Room was not very clean, the pillows were not very comfortable, more information on room service and other services in room would of been helpful

We had dinner in the restaurant, the food was good the restaurant is very pleasant decor etc

Very happy with our stay. Hotel very clean and well presented. Staff were very accommodating. Plenty of parking and fantastic location central to everything the Hunter Valley has to offer

The hotel was lovely and the staff great but they were very under staffed resulting in having to wait a ridiculously long time to order meals and drinks. The room soft curtains had very bad stains on them. They were very noticeable and should have been removed and cleaned. This did make me question the overall quality of the cleaning.

Rooms are a bit tired looking but extremely comfortable and clean. We skipped breakfast but enjoyed the delicious $95pp 3 course evening meal. The hotel grounds are lovely. There's also a great Irish bar, Harrigans about 1km down the street. I can't wait to return.
