Palms City Resort is a beautiful place to stay. We stayed in March 2024. The staff are extremely courteous and most helpful. The room we stayed in was on the 2nd floor and was spacious and serviced all our needs. It only has two floors and stairs up to it, but they are not arduous. It has a pool which is big enough to do laps in. The grounds are its best asset. Surrounded by lush palms, native trees, and shrubs, it looks like a hotel you would expect to see in tropical Qld. It is a very quiet and peaceful hotel, despite its central location. The location is excellent. It is only a 10 min walk to the main centre of town and right next door to a pub we really enjoyed: The Hotel Darwin. It is right opposite the memorial gardens that lead onto the harbour and at night the sunsets are worthy of photos and meditative relaxation. One of the highlights for us was Pickles, a gorgeous green-cheeked Conure who regularly sits at reception and greets the guests. If we have to be picky, our only complaint is the design of the bathroom vanity, which due to its design becomes flooded with water when you wash your hands or face. We had to continuously wipe it dry with a towel. But that is a mere detail. Otherwise, we would highly recommend this hotel.

Our room type with pur personal space pool was fantastic.
Property quiet, clean and very well maintained with lovely gardens and staff helpful and friendly.
The breakfast was excellent value for money.

This is a beautiful facility with well cared gardening. I enjoyed the stay very much. Staff members are very friendly. Hot water comes quick. The site is in walking distance to downtown and water front. Very convenient. ANZAC Centenary Memorial Garden is close by. Sunset there is very beautiful. 15-20 minutes walk to the Convention Center, the venue of the conference I attended. My room is small and without kitchen. But, sufficient for my needs. There are rooms in this facility equipped with kitchen and BBQ stove.

This is a beautiful facility with well cared gardening. I enjoyed the stay very much. Staff members are very friendly. Hot water comes quick. 很悠閒放鬆的感覺，也有個小泳池。離旅遊服務中心非常近，搭觀光巴士快速到訪區內重要景點或訂購在旅遊行程很方便。雖然是木造房間，可是不會覺得隔音差。
唯獨渡假村大門前方所面臨的海濱公園，晚上常有人聚集，可能會伸手要錢，或酗酒挑釁，建議太陽下山後，儘可能不要出門，如出門，要結伴同行注意安全。

The location is fantastic. Watching sunset on Esplanade, and being able to sit in front of your room in lush green local flora, sipping coffee.
BAGANA at reception was extremely friendly and helpful. So were other staff.
