Enjoyed my stay at the hotel. Everyone very helpful.

Average stay, no issues but nothing stands out

Heating doesn’t work, really cold

Very little heat in room . Dress warm !

Staff are really friendly. Hotel itself is in a classic building. Security staff are around the clock. Good option for staying in Thunder Bay.

Dryer wasn’t working. Had to check-out with wet hair in snow. Staff came to look at but nothing was resolved.

This is a very old property, think1960's, but well maintained. The room and bed was comfortable and clean. The television worked well. Due to my arrival time I wasn't able to park in an area close to the door and had to maneuver stairs, in a snowstorm, to get my luggage to the hotel. I left my luggage in the vehicle I went into the hotel to register and request help. The security guard came out to my car with no hesitation and brought my suitcase right into the hotel. The person on duty when I checked out the next morning was also very pleasant. The location isn't in close proximity to the airport, it was about 15 minutes away.

Breakfast was so pathetic and no where on the website it is mentioned about the deposit also.

Best breakfast, service food good simple solid breakfast. Top notch wait staff.

I didn't use the gym or go shopping

This place is an absolute dump, “Bates Motel” in Canadian form. People hanging around asking for smokes and money. Rooms in vintage form, and bathroom in very poor condition. I checked in and out in minutes.

Clean room, staff were great, property and rooms just dated.

Clean room with room service every morning and super kind personal. Elevator is clean and comfortable for 4 people no room for luggage

As a single guy there for work, I am OK with the hotel. If you were to bring your family to Thunder Bay, I would look elsewhere. The entire 3rd floor heavily smelled of marijuana 24/7. I am pretty sure there are people living at the hotel based on all the garbage left in the hallways and the smell, and the screaming babies. The hotel staff is friendly and thankfully the entrance doors are locked at all times. The lobby is beautiful. Great location. Typically, there were homeless people hanging around the doors.

the gym looked liked a museum with the most basic tools that you wouldnt even want to workout there

The hotel was being renovated when we were there. It is a tired beauty--so hopefully the renos will restore some glory! The room was tidy. The beds were comfortable--but we really would appreciate having a selection of pillows. The staff was helpful and lovely. The location was fantatic for our forays into downtown and the restaurants in the area. We didnt use the pool this trip. We will go back for the package that includes breakfast. It was by far the best of any hotel we have stayed at (and that is a lot).

Room was clean and staff were friendly but the rooms and bathroom in particular are very outdated. The tub is literally yellow ceramic and the carpet is a pattern from the 70s. Pool was nice and no one at all was in there except my husband and I. I was pretty disappointed the hot tub was out of service though and from other reviews it seems like that is frequently the case. Overall a decent cheap place to stay but it definitely isn’t a fancy option.
