Location excellent, a short walk from Train Station and a Short walk into York City Centre. Breakfast excellent and room cleaned daily. The only disappointment was our room was street side and the noise from outside during the night was excessive. If you are a light sleeper bring ear plugs or book a riverside room. Rooms street side really need a better sound proofing.

Great location in city centre overlooking the river. The room was a reasonable size, clean & comfortable however the pillows were very firm. The breakfast was lovely & the extended opening hours on Saturday were ideal meaning we didn’t need to rush down. The staff were all friendly & helpful. The drink prices in the hotel bar were overly expensive.

Check in very impersonal - check in via machine, 2 staff stood there don't even say hello or lift their heads or wish you an enjoyable stay. Room very dark, would not be able to work at desk due to this. Otherwise fine, comfy bed, good location.

I have stayed at this hotel before and was delighted to find that it's standards hadn't fallen at all. My room was clean and well laid out and had a lovely view of the river & the various boats going up & down. The staff are friendly and helpful and the food, especially the breakfast, is really good. York also has an amazing assortment of shops and various attractions to visit including the Minster, Yorvik, Barley Hall, The Railway Museum, the Castle Museum. I can also recommend the 4pm Adult slot at The Dig.
