This price is not worth it. We booked one night, when we arrived at the hotel, there keycard system something wrong, we got the room without keycard for few hours, really inconvenient. We went to swimming pool, though the door without keycard, so we can’t entre, we back to reception again, after that we were waiting for the leisure reception staff a long time, really angry about it.

Dated room with no AC, but has everything needed.

Where do I start! We stayed here 4 years ago and it was marvellous.it was thriving ,busy, Bustling . This time when we arrived we was told check in your car else you’ll get a fine ( great fair enough.) Then sign in and il take a card off you just in case your room gets trashed! Wow! We’re in our 60’s definitely not rock stars, id rather watch telly than chuck it out of the window! The chap then said it’s so busy here because of the bank holiday ( Monday) that the dining room may not have space / to book in as soon as possible! We didn’t want to dine in as we went into the town anyway. Breakfast was 7-9 again because it was busy . Room was comfortable and clean but tired! Creaky floor boards . Went down to breakfast at 8am not a soul to be seen. There was a list of how many rooms booked for breakfast. They were so busy yeah. 5! 3 had already been and gone! We waited a good 5 minutes before we even saw anyone. Then we had breakfast which was nice but instead of buffet it was given to us plated . On leaving an hour later.took cards back to reception. Not a word . We won’t be back again! Travel lodge cheaper £ 97 I didn’t expect the world but much better than what we got

Room was clean yet a touch tired. No aircon so we asked for a fan and this was happily supplied. Loved the welcome pack for our pooch Pool nice, surroundings a little tired, could do with a good spruce up. Friendly staff and fab location for the tour of abberleys cycle racing.

The restraunt in this hotel was not great Both my grandchildren have food allergies we struggled to fund something on the what so very little menu. Then to be told the food could have crosd contamination from the fryer.

The room was nice enough despite having a toilet seat that wasn’t attached however the entire experience was ruined by something small and trivial. The room was booked for me as I look to get our sales team a new hotel as a regular base and we are only looking at hotels with gym/pool. After a five hour drive arriving at 8pm I just fancied a quick thirty mins sauna and was told that despite it only being open till 9 I’d have to pay a £5 charge. No where on the website did it say this and my email confirmation had nothing about it. They even have a flyer for the spa on reception saying hotel guests should go enjoy it and zero mention of cost. I’d expect to pay for treatments of course but not a swim and a sauna in a hotel that advertises having one. Reception staff were great to be fair and room was clean and decent size

Clean rooms. Lovely, rural, peaceful location on the outskirts of the town. Great hospitable staff. Thank you for a great stay.

Breakfast finished promptly at 09:00. The bar was poor, had to take a larger back because it had gone off. No refund was offered although the barman agreed it was undrinkable! They had absolutely no Whisky in stock in the bar and only a couple of bourbons available. Executive rooms on the top (2nd) floor with no lift.

The room is from the 1980's dust and all!!! The reception staff member I met was so rude and tried to charge me more than the advertised price. The room was freezing cold, then was given a unsafe heater. I ordered food from the restaurant, when it came out it had ingredients not mentioned on the menu, that i am intolerant to, so I sent back and replaced with something else, they then tried to charge me for the new meal, I said thats ok could you bring the previous plate out, as if i had paid for it I wanted it, they refused to bring it out. I asked to speak to the manager several times no one would get the manager.

Awful experience. Left a day early as had no sleep due to faulty and noisy radiator. Hotel it self is run down and needs a good tidy up. Went to the bar for some drinks, no staff around and 80s cocktail bar music blaring, not a great atmosphere to relax and chat with friends. I emailed the hotel twice before we arrived and also once after our stay to complain. No reply on either times!!

From beginning to end, we had a great stay. Member of staff at check in was friendly and professional and when he noticed that my partner used a walking stick he moved our room to a much closer, user friendly room without being asked. We were celebrating our 53rd wedding anniversary and when he found that out, he arrived at our room with a card from all the staff. Lovely touch. All the staff were very friendly, efficient and enthusiastic. Our room was spacious and clean. Very quiet too. Dinner in the evening was excellent and the dining room was comfortable and clean. Breakfast in the morning was again very enjoyable with a good choice and our waiter was very helpful. Swimming pool clean well maintained. Overall we had a memorable stay and wouldn't hesitate to recommend a stay here and would return in the future.

Booked in early January, some hours later, on the same day, messaged hotel asking for a cancellation, because I realised that possibly I wouldn't be able to make these dates or even the city due to personal circumstances. Even with more than one month in advance, the hotel refused to cancel and refund the booking; We were a big group, booked 3 different rooms; we paid different £ for the rooms, but got exactly the same room size/ layout and facilities. We could feel a smell of old and musty around the premisses hallways/corridors/bedrooms. Old furniture and decoration all around the hotel. Hallway to gym and spa requires updating. Were travelling with children, choose this hotel because of the pool and spa facilities; however we could not use this during the entire stay. We were told the "pool is not working due to elevated chlorine levels". An online search demonstrated that there are quick solutions for this issue eg. emptying the pool and filling it up with clean water; or adding a neutralising solution. We checked in on Friday around 3pm and checked out on Sunday 11am. But it seemed that there was no sense of URGENCY to fix this issue; plus we were not informed about it previously to make appropriate arrangements. Breakfast: very few options available; hard/sour fruits; served uncooked egg and old burnt bacon. Few restaurant options around. But close to Safari park. Staff were generally polite. Overall overly priced for what was on offer.

Staff Nice , Room a bit dated but ok for fifty quid. Shower useless no pressure and one of those horrible shower curtains that cling to your body. Toilet brush was filthy - not sure why there's one in the loo TBH. Food good and apart from the dodgy room its a nice hotel

There was no functioning valve on the radiator, so couldn’t adjust the heat. The radiator banged and clicked in the night too. The room was big, but the duvet cover was cheap material. The toilet roll was cheap and nasty. There was only 3 milk sachets so not enough for more than one hot drink each

Very pleasant stay, staff very friendly and accommodating. Spacious and clean room.
