We had a fantastic stay at Maxamillion hotel, staff were so friendly and helpful, nothing was too much bother for them. We had a slight issue with our hot water supplies no big issues, but staff sorted it out for us. Our beds were so comfortable and clean, we had a kitchen in our room with a fridge which was amazing. The hotel is in a great location, outside our hotel is the bridge you can walk over into France. I would Definitely recommend this hotel for friendliness, location, and great staff. I would definitely would stay here again.

Location is great. very close to public transportation. staff are nice. room is okay, with stand fan not working, floods in the bathroom when showering as shower curtain is flimsy. initially had a hard time looking for this hotel, no signage on the ground floor entrance. hotel is in the same building as best western, reception to check in is on the 5th floor, had a hard time looking for it! Overall, for the price compared to downtown basel hotels, its worth the stay.

Das Maximilian ist ein in die Jahre gekommenes Hotel. Es ist ordentlich und sauber, dennoch ist die Einrichtung in die Jahre gekommen. Das freundliche Personal und das kostenfreie Parken machen vieles wett.
Wir haben es als Übernachtungsmöglichkeit genutzt bevor wir am frühen Morgen zum Euro Airport weiter gefahren sind.

建物はやや古いですが、きれいに清掃されており、バスルームはリフォームされていて、快適でした。シャワーブースに床暖房がついており、暖かかったです。
トラムの駅から近く、ショッピングセンターの建物内にホテルがあるため便利でした。
チェックイン、チェックアウトの際、スタッフの方も感じが良かったです。

Good hotel. Convenient location. Rooms look worn out but spacious. We had a family room which was great for the four of us.
Parking is free but it is a little bit complicated since there is not a direct connection between the hotel and parking which is a 8-9 stories building.

the room booked had first one bed less then indicated. was asked to pay a surcharge to get the room I wanted. the a while I got a free upgrade but the room I entered was already occupied.

I booked one more night and confirmed with the colleague at the reception during the check in and the day before on a Saturday. However, the reception team had not communicated with the housekeeping team and all my things in my fridge were disposed. I also needed to retrieve all my personal items from the corridor. Some of my clothing was missing, which the hotel was not able to provide a new one.
They just kept on apologising without resolving the issue, i.e. providing a new piece of clothing that was threw away by the housekeeping mistake. Bear in mind I realised all my clothes were threw away in a Sunday afternoon when all the shops nearby were closed. The hotel staff was thinking you should go out and buy a new piece of clothing at your own cost and time (which is precious when you are travelling), maybe some shop at Basel remained open, but does it make sense?
It is a Best Western Hotel, not a small unknown hotel, this is simply far below standard and disappointing.
