The staff was a standout: friendly and attentive, and the shuttle service between the rooms and the lobby was a surprisingly useful touch, especially given the property's layout. The views were the other major win — serene, lush, and calming in a way that felt genuinely restorative. The surrounding environment gives off a full rainforest aesthetic that's hard not to appreciate. Just come prepared with bug spray, because the mosquitoes are relentless.
That said, we came to Phuket straight from Bangkok, and the contrast was hard to ignore. The rooms felt noticeably smaller and less maintained — spider webs in the shower, a slow drain, and an A/C unit that kept cutting out made it difficult to fully relax. We also experienced a couple of electrical outages during our stay. They didn't derail the trip, but they're worth mentioning.
We did our research before choosing Patong Beach, so the decision was informed. However, it's one we wouldn't make again. If you're coming straight from Bangkok, temper your expectations on the accommodations front. Great seafood and burger finds. The nature and staff make it worthwhile for the right traveler, but the upkeep needs work.
