Whatever your reason for visiting, Traveloka can get you sorted with everything you need for your trip to Hong Kong.

Where you can fly direct to {destination} from

Where is the airport in {destination}?

One of the busiest airports in the world, Hong Kong International Airport is located on the island of Chek Lap Kok in western Hong Kong. Once you arrive at the airport, you will have a selection of transport options available to take you to your next destination on the ground.

  • Train: The most convenient travel option from the airport to the city is the Airport Express. It departs every 10 minutes from 05:54 to 00:48 every day and the journey takes about 24 minutes.
  • Bus: For an affordable option, try Hong Kong’s public buses. These service the airport and a number of locations with fares varying depending on where you’re headed to.
  • Taxi: Taxis are available from the Taxi Station (located outside the Arrivals Hall). The cabs are colour-coded to indicate which area they service. Red means they are urban taxis that cover most areas of Hong Kong and green indicates they are New Territories taxis which cover the north-eastern and north-western part of the New Territories. Meanwhile, blue taxis are Lantau taxis which only service Lantau Island and Chek Lap Kok.

When is the cheapest time to fly to {destination}

To get the cheapest deals on flights to Hong Kong, consider avoiding visiting December to March, which is when it experiences a surge of travellers, thanks to cooler weather and significant events like Lunar New Year. Airfares are typically more expensive due to increased demand. Instead try visiting {destinationLocation}  between April and June when airfares are expected to be cheaper, with prices starting from {flightCheapestPrice}. To get the best price possible, keep an eye on Traveloka’s promotions, particularly when sales events such as EOFY, Black Friday and Boxing Day kicks off.

Visa and passport requirements when flying to {destination}

Aussie travellers who are staying in Hong Kong for tourism or business reasons for less than 90 days do not require a visa. A valid passport is needed for entry into Hong Kong, however.

How early to arrive at the airport

When flying from any Australian city to Hong Kong, it’s important to make sure you arrive at the airport with enough time to spare prior to departure. For international flights, the general rule of thumb is to arrive at least three hours before your flight leaves to check in, drop off bags and navigate through security.
