This was my first trip to sydney. I am very sorry that I need to give a bad review because of what happened during my stay. The first 4 night was okay, until I experienced an emergency at the hotel on th 5th night. The emergency was due to a power outage. No lights, no elevator. I arrived at the hotel at 20.30. There were no calls or messages that told me about the emergency. I was so confused because the hotel lobby suddenly was full. I asked the receptionist and they said that the whole building needs to be evacuated. I mean, I was not informed about it at all, but they said that the evacuation already began since 19.00. So, I rushed to my room using stairs (11th floor), and pack all my things for about 15 minutes. Then I go downstairs with my luggage. The receptionist gave me another hotel (which is quite far), so I need to take a tram at 22.00, I was so tired. The compensation does not meet my expectations. In emergency, I thought that a free shuttle bus/ free taxi to the other hotel will be provided. Also, I thought that there may be other elevator that can be used, but there wasn't. Overall, the hotel room was just okay, but during emergency, it was chaotic.
