Good hotel but needs updating. Still very clean, friendly and affordable

Room needs a deep clean hair in corners of bathroom. Garbage behind the dressers and desk. Tv screen had fingerprints on it. Microwave plate had food dried to it. Front desk staff didn’t seem happy when I checked in. Not sure if she was having a bad day or if she is just not personable.

It's a clean hotel, but the soundproofing is quite poor. You can hear people making love upstairs or somewhere else at 2 ot 4 in the morning. Breakfast is free, but there aren't many options. I'm not a heavy breakfast eater, so it didn't bother me. However, the boiled eggs were incredibly difficult to peel.

First time was very good but this room 206 is disgusting, toilette is not clean.

Everything was great. The only thing that stood out was a not bad but obvious staleness odour. The hallways and the room didn’t seem to be freshly scented.

The breakfast here was not as good as the one over at the Warden avenue. The fruit salad can be better. Otherwise, the seatings are more comfortable here.

Clean room, staff were friendly and attentive. We had an issue with our tv and they sent staff to help within 10 mins.

Room had a bad smell when we entered. the bed was not comfortable and also there were many huge noises at night from bathroom which woke us up at night.

1.I called the hotel on day of check in,advised i would be in late due to an appointment,but the staff who spoke to me,her tone of voice was unprofessional/unpleasant,i was stereotyped with other guests in the past who didn't show up. She insisted the security fee of $150 needed to go thru for the room to remain reserved. She reluctantly said she would hold the room till 10pm. I lost all confidence in her keeping her promise. I called fews minutes later to make the payment but was hung up on. I had to use my wife's phone to call back before it was answered. 2. Room paid for was not given us.Front desk,said because it was 3rd party booking,they use display pictures of other rooms to attract customers. 3.The fridge in room was not turned on. I notified the front desk about it and he told me to drag the fridge out and turn on a switch button at the back of the fridge. I didn't argue cos it was late.A concierge telling a guest to do this was strange to me. I could have hurt myself in the process or even gotten electrocuted. All appliances are supposed to be working before a guest arrives. 4.The room was not properly cleaned. My wife saw strands of hair on the bed and washroom, cobwebs where in the room also. This was supposed to be a special and memorable stay for us,but unfortunately it was not. I will recommend proper training be given to the fronk desk. They are the front line representative of the establishment. It was an unpleasant experience for both of us
