Overall the hotel was great. The staff were friendly, the room was clean, and it’s in a fantastic location. However, there are few things to be aware of. If your room faces the main road, it will be very loud and bright until at least midnight (later on weekends). The blackout curtains do a great job at blocking the light from the street, but this causes the room to become stuffy very quickly since the windows are the only form of ventilation. It was not a surprise to me that there was no air conditioning in our room so my expectations were set, but it was a major issue for my travel partner. Additionally, the only water refill station is in the lobby and no carafe is provided in the room. Because of this, it was much more convenient to buy a pack of water bottles for the room which unfortunately created more waste. And lastly, I found it odd that our beds were on wheels. This may not be the case for all rooms, but if you stay here and have a bed on wheels - be prepared to stub your toe multiple times daily. It definitely isn’t a deal breaker, but was incredibly annoying. Despite the things mentioned above, I would 100% consider staying at the Bedford Hotel again and would recommend it to anyone I know traveling to London.

The room had a garden view ( it cost more) but it is worth it. However, the room was too hot and next to our room there was work done in the morning remodelling/ refurbishing another room. The staff is very very nice and helpful and that makes a difference.

Great hotel in central London near multiple train and underground stations. Several early morning breakfast places nearby such as Pret and Costa. British Museum is 10 min walk. The spring was an ideal time to visit as temps are cool all day. Note if you come in summer there is no central air.

Comfortable hotel in a great location. Rooms on the garden side of the hotel are quiet despite being on a relatively busy street. Easy to walk to from both the Tottenham Court Station (Elizabeth Line) and the Russell Square Station (Piccadilly Line) so easy to get to from Heathrow.

The breakfast selection was satisfactory. Many of the cooked foods were luke warm. Nothing could be kept hot. The staff were unaware that I had paid for my breakfast in advance with booking. I had to pay again and ask for a refund. They were unwilling to give an instant refund. Until management was called in to resolve their booking system failure. Hotel staff were not particularly helpful or pleasant. Noisy hallway in the early morning with loud chatter from other customers.

My wife and I absolutely love this hotel. The room was perfect. Clean and everything we needed was there. We faced the garden and it was peaceful. You couldn’t hear the busy city around you. The only thing we heard were birds and the ambulances that would go by. This hotel is within walking to everything we needed. I can’t sing their praises enough! Perfect way to start our British vacation :)
