Positives: friendly staff, good location on Buda side, nice foyer. Didn’t try the food so can’t comment. Dislikes: ‘superior’ rooms are not 4* quality. We changed rooms after 2 nights. First room was internal with no natural light looking out at the lift and breakfast hall. Due to constant music playing through indoor speakers from 7am until after 10pm (only turned it off when we asked) we weren’t able to rest well in between exploring. Second room was better location overlooking a courtyard. Was quiet, but needed some tlc. Stained carpets, shower hose split and spraying everywhere, blocked drain in bath, pillows had hairs underneath pillowcases (both rooms) hairdryer was an 80’s relic and damaged. Was a cheap trip, but expected a higher standard and so unlikely to return.

Overall, this is a nice hotel in an amazing location on the river. Great budget choice that served us well as an excellent base in the Castle District. The breakfast was absolutely fab - fresh and tasty - loads of choice. The view from our room was incredible. The shower gel in our room was empty but the housekeepers were very friendly and helpful and sorted it quickly. Small fridge kept things nice and cool. Check in and out was easy and efficient. We ate in the restaurant twice for dinner and while it was very good quality, it was a little limited in terms of selection. Gold members: We weren't upgraded and didn't receive the 20% food benefit - so don't book if you're expecting this!

Lovely hotel with beautiful extremely spacious rooms. The housekeeping was the only thing letting it down. The rooms aren’t serviced unless you ask, but I feel that in a 5 day stay we shouldn’t have to ask each day for tea bags and milk. It should be topped up and bins emptied daily so they don’t smell. Also, the shower gel was empty on arrival, which should have been checked as I didn’t find out until I was in it! Having to wash myself with shampoo after a full day’s travelling wasn’t ideal.
