Park Plaza Budapest

Upon check in, I asked the receptionist if she had a nice room for me… she didn’t even reply… I checked in, there was hair all over the floor, the room obviously wasn’t vacuumed. The following morning at around 9am the cleaners were tapping loudly in the corridor, obviously a tactic to wake up travellers so they can clean the rooms on that floor… difficult when you’ve come to relax and sleep in. The towel in the bathroom was dirty and stained.

Excellent Danube river view, great location, walking distance from the Parliament, very friendly and helpful staff. Rooms were spacey, bathrooms can use some update, especially the bathtub is an accident about to happen during showers.

This was our 3rd or 4th visit. Consistently good hotel. Great location. Parking across the street. Friendly staff. Decent little gym. Nice views of dance one side and bastion on the other. Cleaning could be slightly improved but not a big deal. Breakfast is decent. Bed incredibly comfortable. Would be nice to have a mini bar to select from. I will be back:)

Hotel was clean and reasonably well maintained. There were some areas that certainly could have done with some attention but nothing that would affect your stay. Breakfast was reasonable albeit a little bit dear.

Perfect location for metro access and walking along the Danube with a short walk to view the parliament building which is so impressive. Nice breakfast available with a good variety. Room was clean with all amenities that I required.

Not very very newly renovated but majority of the facility is in great condition. Staff is nice and room is great. Wonderful location in Buda side

They dont vacum clean the carpet, and d ont wash coffee cups

The location is Excellent. The cleanliness is so poor. The hotel is outdated. This is not a 4 Star hotel. I would rate this as 3.

Location is perfect. Easy to get to with tram, bus, metro. The view of the Országház and the Danube is priceless. We stay here every time we are in Budapest!

The photo shows a view but your room doesn’t have one. Our entire floor smelled like sewage. Our room had stains on the carpet and the walls were dirty. The only thing that was right was our bedding. Holding your breath as you walk to your room is not how we had planned to spend our trip. Can’t say how the higher priced rooms were, but the lower cost rooms aren’t even worth that low price. We stayed at others for less with more dignity.

The Park Plaza is a great choice for a base to explore the tourist attractions such as the river tour, Buda Castle and Fisherman bastion. The most remarkable feature is the view of the Parliament building at night. Many resturants available in walking distance. Something to consider for those who are use to cold AC , you wont find that here but its not unpleasent. The hotel has a resturant on site with a moderate menu . It also has a gym and I noted wheel chair accessibility to several areas. It also appears to be pet friendly . One thing that stood out is the hotel rooms had obvious wear and tear which is unfortunate.

Nice hotel, helpful staff

I recently went on my honeymoon through multiple countries. The location was amazing. The price was reasonable and I would say the quality of this hotel exceeded other hotels I booked for more money. This was the hotel I left and said, "when we come back to Budapest we're staying here again."

Wir hatten einen rundum gelungenen Aufenthalt. Das Hotel ist sehr schön, die Zimmer sind komfortabel und die Aussicht auf die Donau war einfach traumhaft. Zwar hatte unser Zimmer keinen Balkon, aber der Ausblick hat das mehr als wettgemacht. Das Frühstück war hervorragend und bot eine große Auswahl, sodass für jeden etwas dabei war. Einzig ein frisch gepresster Orangensaft hat uns gefehlt – das wäre das i-Tüpfelchen gewesen. Insgesamt können wir das Hotel uneingeschränkt weiterempfehlen und würden jederzeit wiederkommen.
